Crank Calls from Pakistan

mein bohot musibat mein hoon. Aap jo koi bhi hoo khuda rasool ka wasta is number per 50 Rs easy load kardo. Please.

I get these all the times.

Isn't there any law against these callers, sms senders? These shouldbe reported to the respected carriers, who in turn should block these numbers for good. But ht eproblem is these carriers just want to makemoney be selling numbers to every top, dick and harry and want tobe the leaders in the industry.

These messages and calls are so common here in Pakistan. Almost every week i get random numbers stating "Hi my name is Anum or some other female name. I am interested in talking to you, you are very handsome as i have seen your pics on facebook. Please transfer 50rs to my account so we can talk".

Just last week i received a call from some number stating that i won 50 lakh rupees, as soon as i heard that i hung up the phone. Than i called that exact number from my other phone stating that i was an ISI agent and i had tracked his phone, i was going to torture him unless i didn't receive my 50 lakh rupees. His voice started trembling and he was just mumbling words and apologizing to me. It was too funny ahahahahaha.

"I am in hospital for the sake of God & His Prophet please send me credit, don't think i am lying"

Got one just today .. Had something different like, her mother was in the hospital or something. But I got no reply after I asked for the hospitals name and room number.

Well watching number and just think this call is from this country is nt a gud idea bcoz it cn be a voip number and alao cn be a call forwarding give me ur number and im sitting in Pak and cn call u from American or any other nation

Following questionable telephone calls by Pakistani intelligence operatives (PIOs) to various defence installations in recent times in the country, the Northern Command in Jammu and Kashmir has strictly barred “suspicious” phone calls, including ISD calls beginning with code “92”, at its formations. “There are serious instructions from the top not to attend calls beginning with Pakistani ISD code ‘92’. Not only calls starting with code ‘92’ but all other suspicious calls have also been barred,” said a senior Army officer on condition of anonymity.

Though it is a rule of thumb in the Army, the Northern Command has again reiterated all Army formations in the state not to discuss any military matter, even if trivial in nature, over the phone, he added. “PIO call our formations but they are simply not taken for security reasons,” the officer said. “With so many cellular companies in the fray providing mobile phone services in the country with different 10-digit numbers, it has become essential for us to keep in place a foolproof mechanism,” he said. There was a time when various Army formations in the state were getting calls from PIOs frequently but now their frequency has gone down considerably, the officer said, adding that this form of information technology-aided espionage has been taken seriously by the Army.

The state has seven telecom companies: BSNL, Aircel, Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, Reliance and Tata Indicom. “The Army maintains a very high level of secrecy for obvious reasons. Forget about mobile phones, now even officials of the Defence Ministry go through a strict procedure of checks and counter checks before being given access to any senior Army officer on a landline telephone in the state,” said a source in the Defence Ministry.

In August this year, a telephone call from Pakistan at Jodhpur railway station seeking information about the movement of the Army via train had prompted the Intelligence Bureau to warn the railway authorities not to share any information about the Army over phone.
