Pakistani products weren't of bad quality but were expensive compared to Chinese products
in full competition market couldn't compete with cheap Chinese products

But think if we have a factory making products in pakistan, it generates employment for hundreds and some times thousands of families depending on the size of the work force of that factory. When we import the same product from china under FTA at lower price that local manufacture product by our locally factory, the time will come when the losses will be unbearable to our local factory and it will shut down and all those families will lose their livelihood. Don't you think as a nation it is our responsibility to protect the jobs/livelihood of our own citizen and families rather than "making china great again", that is what FTA is doing, our workers are losing jobs and their workers are getting the same job there, it is never a zero sum game. The benficiary of this FTA business is only the fat greedy "importer" sitting in Karachi with his warehouses and ordering and receiving containers of made in china junk at the sea port on daily basis and distributing those products to the rest of pakistan.

Worst part is those same greedy Businessmen moved all the textile factories to Bangaladesh in the late 2000s nowadays all I see these bloody Bongs celebrate this as a achievement gree

I think Pakistan should import only those things which are necessary for its survival and should ban import of all other things

Exactly and this habit is newly developed from Musharraf's time, his crony imported prime minister and finance minister Shaukat Aziz started this import spree, subsequent ppp and pmln governments just continued that import spree. Thank god this PTI government has put at least some halt to this 15 years old import madness. But the basic structural problem is FTA between China and Pakistan which is the biggest driving factor for this ongoing import insanity.

and second those Pakistani working in other countries sending dollars back
Pakistan has no other resources
and it's biggest export is cotton and it's products
but wants to buy foriegn made expensive products
and this is the reason for it's economic problems
government should take steps to cut the consumption of oil
and all other unnecessary imports should be banned this is the only solution
