There are already tens of billions of dollars being put into clean energy as we speak.

Only 30% to 40% of the money being spent on projects and rest of the money is going in the pockets of corrupt Politicians.
With current projects, and amount of money being spent on these projects, Pakistan will not be able to resolve load shedding until 2040.

Why use imported coal? Why are we not using thar coal?

Thar's coal is in sub-bituminous form with low heat content thus yielding lesser efficieny in power production. Imported coal is higher quality and yields better plant efficiency.
