Covid vaccine: UK supply hit by India delivery delay

ohhhh...bad india, bad india, white master not happy with slave vaccine maker.

joking aside, seriously indians...y' all had one job, just one job...to just simply make copies of that vaccine and you even managed to fck that up!!! :hitwall: its like...being allowed to cheat and still fail!!! :P
Well its obvious India would fail as its lacks the ability to match Pakistani vaccine manufacturing

Its time for Pakistan to mobilize its massive vaccine manufacturing combined with CPEC puwa logistics and save the day by exporting doses of its NUST vaccine to UK
Its actually the opposite

More importantly, almost 90% of vaccines administered in India come from Pakistan, according to Mr Ghani. Pakistani vaccines, he adds, are "world-class, affordable and shipping is easy".

Will India get Covid vaccines from Pakistan?

But but but....India can handle the international orders, domestic supply and neighbourhood first all at once.

Like I said, Bd and Np will be holding their breath.

All the do-gooders really want is the elimination of croneyism though. So, what's the problem there champ?

It may shock you to learn that Pakistan is acquiring vaccines through an internationally sponsored program called Covax, sponsored by Gavi. India hasn't decided to give Pakistan anything, because India and filthy little Indians like you hold no jurisdiction on the matter.

Now, if you're whining about Pakistan taking on an Indian product per se, that's a different issue. Nevertheless, worms like you should be reminded that India also imports pharmaceutical products from Pakistan. Let me know of you want some figures (I have posted them in the past) and let Modi know if you lose any sleep over it.
They're still manufactured in India...doesn't matter what crappy program you get em from

and it is your lot who travel from pakistan to India for medical tourism...you don't see that happening the other way around. Regarding pharm trade

As of 2018, our exports are around $15bn while imports are $3.5bn while your exports are $208mn and imports are $1bn.

The following countries posted the highest positive net exports for drugs and medicines during 2018. Investopedia defines net exports as the value of a country’s total exports minus the value of its total imports. Thus, the statistics below present the surplus between the value of each country’s drugs and medicine exports and its import purchases for that same commodity.

  1. Germany: US$33.2 billion (net export surplus up 31.9% since 2014)
  2. Switzerland: $25.7 billion (up 29.8%)
  3. Ireland: $12.2 billion (down -23.9%)
  4. India: $12 billion (up 22.4%)
  5. France: $10.3 billion (up 26.8%)
  6. Denmark: $9.5 billion (up 8198.2%)
  7. Belgium: $7.3 billion (up 2.8%)
  8. Netherlands: $6.6 billion (up 32.3%)
  9. Sweden: $3.9 billion (up 17.2%)
  10. Israel: $3.7 billion (down -19.2%)
  11. Singapore: $3.6 billion (down -17.2%)
  12. Italy: $3.3 billion (down -50.9%)
  13. Slovenia: $1.73 billion (down -10.9%)
  14. Austria: $1.65 billion (down -21.9%)
  15. Hungary: $572.4 million (down -37.6%)

Also, it looks like you've got serious comprehension issues. Where'd I say India is giving you something!!

All I said was your lot are getting an Indian manufactured vaccine
My only response to you was that India also imports Pakistani pharmaceutical products, so no need to tare your hair out so fully
yeah more like peanuts maybe

I am not worrying, merely suggesting Pak Govt to correct this wrong doing by India and use its vaccine manufacturing prowess to assuage the trauma caused to concerned Pak diaspora in UK :)

.
"spokesperson for the Serum Institute said: “Five million doses had been delivered a few weeks ago to the UK and we will try to supply more later, based on the current situation and the requirement for the government immunisation programme in India.”"

Your family run business has admitted itself that they can't rectify the delay in 1.4 MILLION DOSES being delivered to UK if the goi needs the shots in India.

Classic case of "promise now, fail to deliver later".

You're right. This isn't simply poor QC. This is total failure to deliver on a commitment.
Well, read 10 times you still won't figure out there is nothing wrong with it. And that's what I said before, your bias and jealousy.

We are not obliged to deliver you anything in weeks. We signed the agreement to deliver the said number of vaccines, with no time frame in the fine print, what the hell are you all crying about here? Where did we fail in our commitment? Did we say, "no, we are not going to deliver the vaccines"? The delay is normal given the scale at which we operate.

Don't be impatient, wait in line, you will get what you paid for, like the rest of the countries.

yeah more like peanuts maybe
sorry but we don't sell anything that fits the size of the indian lullis...

You cannot worry because you are not in a position to worry. First fulfil your contracts to UK, Nepal and Bangladesh before worrying about Pakistan. Simple instructions really. If your species were competent, you would have been able to manage a simple task like that.

Then again, Delhi reserves the right to influence contractual obligations in electoral autocracies/partly free nations.

Here's the problem Your inferiority complex ridden people has - you just cannot honour commitments because you plan poorly. Even some smarter Indians realise this:

"now, a source authorised to speak for the manufacturer told the Guardian.
They emphasised the decision did not single out Britain – with whom the Indian government has recently tangled over perceived interference in its politics – but reflected the fact that Delhi has the whip hand over its vaccine exports and must ensure its own needs are met.
In blunt terms, those aged under 50 in a country that has already given doses to nearly 40% of its population are less of a priority than the institute’s commitments to Indians, just 2.7% of whom have received a jab, or agreements with Covax, which expects to receive 1bn doses from the Pune-based manufacturer by the end of the year.
There was also the possibility that the Serum Institute had booked more supply than it could manufacture, said Oommen C Kurian, a senior fellow at Delhi’s Observer Research Foundation thinktank.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they had double-booked a few million doses, overlooking production capacity,” he said, pointing to an earlier episode in which the institute claimed Delhi was holding up supply that drew an official denial from the Indian government."

Fkin priceless. Based on reputation but zero direct evidence, one Indian guy has said exactly what I said throughout this post, and our resident on-call toddlers @Chhatrapati and @Syama Ayas are throwing their toys out of their prams because apparently Pakistanis open threads out of jealousy of SII.

Let's do that highlighted bit again for you pair of saffron clad chaddi pirates:

Priceless contribution sir. I'm sure Mr Kurian is just jealous of SII too.

well they gotta have normal brains to be able to "worry"...

Oh yeah, it is, watching you clamouring like this over one simple question, where is the agreement that stipulates a time-bound delivery? Where???
Private companies don't publish contracts for your kind perusal. Nevertheless, London has stated clearly that commitments were made and remain unfulfilled. SII spokespersons haven't denied the existence of said commitments but have rather offered excuses as above.

Do you even read before you post

If your species were competent, you would have been able to manage a simple task like that.
Of course our species is only fit to be vaccine trial rodents for Chinese vaccines
Our species is currently helpless and reduced to vaccine handouts as apparently we cannot even afford Chinese vaccines.
Indian vaccine manufacturing is non-existent unlike Land of Pure

Here's the problem Your inferiority complex ridden people has - you just cannot honour commitments because you plan poorly.
Like I said earlier-

On behalf of all Indians our condolences to all those suffering Pak diaspora for the immense butthurt and psychological trauma this has caused

With your suffering and mental trauma taken into account made in India, burnols and will be supplied with vaccine shots free of cost

Pakistanis open threads out of jealousy of SII.
Jealously may not be the cause here given the specimen here is from UK Pak diaspora and that community has prevalence of inherited genetic disorder due to a certain uncivilized custom

Private companies also have smart lawyers who know not to put a time frame for delivery in an agreement. Tell me, has any company that is running the vaccination program had put the time of delivery in their agreement? There may be promises made by "word" conveying "expected" delivery time.

The UK company itself is not being able to deliver what was "promised" in terms of delivery to Europe.
