Long Live Eordgan.

I am not surprised by results ..... :-)

RIP Turkey. It is a beautiful land, which I loved when I was there. but I am afraid the Turkish people have become the instruments of their own enslavement and eventual downfall.

Their choice but sad choice :(

I'm not entirely sure it was their choice.

Wasn't a fair election anyway, with opposition media offices being raided and not allowed to transmit.

what the hell are you talking about? Turkey is way more democratic especially about the elections.. Also, dont lie here that the oppositions were raided.. in Turkey, oppositions can say anything they want, i wonder if your oppositions can do it in your country.. or even if they ever get in TV..

It is a great news and we respect the decision by the people of Turkey after all Erdogan has transformed Turkey into a dynamic country with great economy and that has won the hearts of the Turkish people. The severe pain in few asses should be neglected.

You are right about the lack of fairness, but the Turkish people knew the options before them. It was incumbent upon the opposition to be united, which they weren't. Without a united opposition, I guess the Turkish people saw little point in another fractured mandate. Many people actually must have believed the fear-mongering of the AKP, and even those who did not, could probably not see a way out. The AKP has made it very clear as to what line of politics it intends to pursue. Even if they had been beaten, they would not have let the government function and would have plunged the country into further chaos. I have closely followed the election speeches this time around. I may have missed the few pacifist and conciliatory speeches made by AKP leaders. All they did was villify the opposition as traitors and made implicit/explicit threats of violence. The Turkish people simply caved in, and they will pay the price.

You clearly do not live in the same world as we do:

I can understand your perspective. As it is, talk is of how Turkey is on its way to "Pakistanisation" - willfully sabotaging its own future by engaging in proxy wars in its own neighbourhood. No doubt you will ensorse the behaviour of the current regime in Ankara.
