Corrption worsened during 2017-18 period: Transparency Intl 2019 Report

A good rule of thumb.
Don't bother reading any thread started by Pakistan Space Agency.
You know what to expect.
Don't feed the troll.

Just a few corrections, so that you give due attention to your misunderstanding about matters, answered in similar points:

  • Peshawar BRT is one prime example, NAB has references ready but the Provincial Government has pleaded with the High Court to hold NAB from filing reference, Stay Orders have been granted. (https://tribune.com.pk/story/2114614/1-peshawar-brt-malam-jabba-references-ready-nab-chief/)
  • Corruption Index does not take only Mega Projects into account, if at all. CI takes into account normal routine matters of state and that is where we have shown improvement (as in grown even more corrupt, unsurprisingly).
  • NAB recoveries and FBR collection has nothing to do with corruption as avoidance of tax does not fall under the purview of corruption and NAB has always made massive recoveries (albeit a fraction of alleged corruption) ever since formation.
  • It does NOT mean that at all, it simply means that the Government Regulations now make it easier to do business, but it definitely does not mean that Business is easier; it is like saying that the Government has made it easier to get a Pilot's (flying) license......as it does not mean that people are actually finding it easier to get the license because of rising costs associated with the hypothetical example.
  • The only thing on the agenda and under intense focus of FATF was TF; we have made attempts to pacify FATF with documented evidence of TF case trials and successful convictions. ML takes a back seat and that too at the very back, it is of no serious concern to FATF and mere legislation is enough for them. P.S. We are NOT coming out of the Grey List!
No survey has helped anyone through fabrication. In any free and fair election, we would have an elected Government and not a SELECTED Government. It is no secret the part our establishment played (and still plays because of which extension became unavoidable) in ensuring the premiership for IK.

Point is red indicates you take political angling in your thinking. But anyway;
  • Peshawar case is in court. It was a mega project, I suspect corruption in it like I suspect corruption in Lahore metro who's record was burnt by PMLN. One project that started in 2017 and is still going on is your basis of conclusion? Between 2018 and 2019, what parameters do you have that hint corruption is up in that project and because of which preception of corruption should go up?
  • Tax-evading is a financial crime but FBR officials who give undue favours to tax evaders do fall under institutional corruption. Increased tax collection means something improved - what do you think it is?
  • Ease of doing business includes the impact of legislation on economic or investment activity. If preception is your measure of reality, perception on ease of business says it is now easier and more viable to do business in Paksitan. I cannot explain increased corruption from these parameters- but can you?
  • Paksitan is almost out of the Grey List. The news came out today. FATF is primarily focussed towards money laundering and includes terror financing as a sub-category of its checklist which in reality India is pushing for. When money is laundered, which money do you think is laundered? Ill-gotten money or Legally earned one? If money laundering was on the rise, you would not have come out of it. Simple.
I understand I am speaking to a PMLN supporter here and I cannot help you see what you chose not to see.

Surprisingly, not a single PTI Patriot posted this beautiful news from today. Shame.
Because its misleading, and dumbasses don't ever read the reports, nor the articles, and base their assumptions on titles only.

This article is stupid as well, and doesn't actually know how the reports works.

The CPI is based upon surveys and government data, such as in coming complaints and reports.

Because the government has made things more transparent, regarding corruption, through things like the citizens portal, the number of reports regarding corrupt practices are now more likely to be reported. Its NOT because corruption has increased, it's just that there are more people reporting it, when they see it.

This would have happened to any government that implemented such transparency systems, regardless of who is in charge.

Try to use a bit of critical thinking next time.

This report due to exposing corruption. Otherwise, Shahbaz Shareef family TT in millions of dollars.

Even after all this time, you think the current Pakistani government is selected, then your entire opinion can be thrown in the trash can.

There is NO evidence of this, and is only parroted by idiots, and morons.

Is it a surprise really?

Jehangir Tareen a convicted criminal and crook who shouldn't be allowed near a public office is actually sitting in cabinet meetings and running the country showing a big middle finger to this country's constitution and justice.

Rest of the wrongs of this government are too many to list.

It would be a surprise if these enemies of poor actually did something good for Pakistan.

Means in one year no corruption govt case comes on front

NAB Chairman has routinely claimed pressure by the government in order to drop corruption cases on government ministers and political movers and shakers.

. . .
Your leaders destroyed Karachi in decades and you want PTI to fix everything in one year. Are you:cuckoo:?

even if PTI didnt do anything atleast it could have taken a stand on karachi issues in the assembly it runs today, it could have changed status of karachi, it could have passed resolution of Karachi province like hazara province, it could have granted more rights to the local govt, ensured transparency on the census and the rigged census which happened during PMLN's era, what about karachi water supply, sanitation etc, heck the PTI is now even delaying karachi mass transit there has been no progress even on PMLN era project, the intention is pretty clear, PTI wanted karachi power, but it had no interest in addressing grievences of the city.

Do you or Transparency International (TI) has any prove of that?

No survey has helped anyone through fabrication. In any free and fair election, we would have an elected Government and not a SELECTED Government. It is no secret the part our establishment played (and still plays because of which extension became unavoidable) in ensuring the premiership for IK.

Only naive (or fool) will believe that such reports and survey's of west are unbiased and transparent, who has always supported goons like Nawaz and Zardari as their agents.

More to the point, same "establishment played" role and helped PPP and PML-N made Govt in past, what have they done for the country?

Why were their PM called "SELECTED" when establishment helped them in past? Or this "establishment played role" tamasha has just started since IK become PM?

It was an interview on mafia media group based in Karachi. The mafia who controls the KSE is enjoying good money off the dollar hike scam.
