Why authorities didn't quarantine people coming from Iran?

Afaik, Virus spreads alot in winter season especially in colder regions. Karachi has hot climate and so called winter is already over. Don't panic.

World Quarantine Standard:

• Secluded Room
• Cleaned with disinfectants daily
• All the Medical equipment is industrially washed, and chemicals are used
• Person prevented to have contact from people
• All the people in their person's immediate family are picked up /Quarantined
• Home is cleaned disinfected
• Current Notes , personal belongings are cleaned

Pakistani standard:

• Fever check , chal go inside the country
• We put you in room with 300 patients and then use a plastic curtain

Those who traveled along with this 22 year old male, are also quarantined. It should have been stopped on border way before it made it to Pakistan.

This is the flaw of government and the concerned departments regulating the passengers.

Government should have taken serious measures since very long, not only for China, but US, Iran, Japan and Singapore. But we can’t put a blame on them as well, since except for China, these other countries have had very less cases, below 1000.

Latest data put R0 to btw 4 and 6... One contaminated can contaminate around 4 to 6 in a 2-3m radius...
And those next guys will be ready to contaminate in the first 30mins/1h...

Starts spreading in the first few minutes, but continues to spread for at least 2 weeks.

That's why all those who were in close contact with him in the past 14 days should be quarantined. And then those who were in contact with those contacts should also be quarantined.

The cold/hot weather "hope" is when the virus is outside the body, ie on surfaces/air...
If someone got it and speaks to you/around you or shakes your hands... it doesn't matter if you are in a desert or in Siberia... you will get it...

This government proved itself as a sitting duck. In the past two months, Pakistan could have established multiple quarantine facilities but government didn't move an inch..
