PM Modi further said, "The PM-CARES Fund accepts micro-donations too. It will strengthen disaster management capacities and encourage research on protecting citizens."

"Let us leave no stone unturned to make India healthier and more prosperous for our future generations," PM Modi said.

A PIB release read: "The Prime Minister’s office has been receiving spontaneous and innumerable requests for making generous donations to support the government in the wake of this emergency."

"Keeping in mind, the need for having a dedicated national fund with the primary objective of dealing with any kind of emergency or distress situation, like posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, and to provide relief to the affected, a public charitable trust under the name of Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund’ (PM CARES Fund)’ has been set up. Prime Minister is the Chairman of this trust and its Members include Defence Minister, Home Minister and Finance Minister," the release read.

It's been hardly a few minutes since our PM has made that call and the website is already jammed....let's show the world our spirit by donating as much as we can.
This is the first time Modi has made such a request to the people of this country..let us all come forward and donate as much as we can.
 
Tata Trusts commits Rs 500 crore to fight coronavirus

Tata Trusts has committed Rs. 500 crores to all affected communities. The funds will be used for Personal Protective Equipment for the medical personnel on the frontlines, respiratory systems for treating increasing cases, testing kits to increase per capita testing , setting up modular treatment facilities for infected patients, knowledge management and training of health workers and the general public, a company statement said.

Modi govt. just did a U TURN on its promise to give a 3 month moratorium on EMI's.

So good luck on collecting that money from the Middle class.
