Construction of 4600MW Diamer-Bhasha dam in Gilgit-Baltistan to begin shortly

Your assessment have 2 major flaws.
1> Its a Big Project (Plus we first need 200 KKH (against 100KM Submerged KKH) & Main Transmission Line)
2> Site Location (Its a remote site, building infrastructure, Moving Heavy Machinery, Equipment & Materials will be difficult and time consuming.

Not possible. You can type 1 year, 1 month or 1 week but it will not change the ground reality. 8~10 years years if everything goes smoothly.
It’s doesn’t take 8 to 10 years to do all that. It all comes down to proper planning and how much money, manpower you want to thrown into project.

Run 3 shifts a day, ensure a steady capital inflow, and you will have this dam in 4 to 5 years. IK needs to get this finished within his tenure. These dams are essential for our survival. If left to the Collaborators of India, the Sharifs and Bhuttos wont ever let this dam go through and we will suffer yet again.

Japanese fix their roads in 2 days, while in US, I have seen govt contractor taking whole years to fix same length of road.

The people of Diamer still await the compensation for their land, they have given up on a lot for this country and most of them are still without proper compensation. Now WAPDA is telling most of displaced people that they can get the land in suburbs of Islamabad, but why should native people leave?

We need to be sure to take care of people of Diamer first and for most. When I was recently there, people were protesting and holding public meetings for this issue.
Islamabad is a far better deal, are you joking? From a village in the mountains to a world class capital city, which has all facilities. Nice job with your anti state propaganda

.
It will cost around 15-20 Billion USD,
Who will finance it?
Definitely though Loans.
Our PM was begging for Dam Money. Instead of forming a Public - Private Partnership.
We have an example of Sialkot Airport. There was a need. Govt just give them a land and Sialkot Business Community built their own airport to promote their own business.
If State want Business community to give large amount of money then Govt. should also give them something in return i.e. ownership.
Last Option will be China.

When did people get displaced for Bhasha dam? Source please. The only controversy is where to build model villages with in GB.

I will take that offer because Islamabad land is worth many times more then in Diamer. One can always sell it ;) if one dont want to live in Islamabad.

we are trying to get funding for diamir bhasha for so long but still no news, It is a veryyyy large project as compared to airports or motorways. 15-20 billion USD is almost equall to our whole export so it is not easy to finance this gigantic project. It would be another tarbela (Along with ML1) for us that is why I am interested in it who will finance it and how fast we can finish it.

I have been hearing this "next 3-4 months construction will start" truck ki batti since Mush era. I will only believe it when a brick is laid on the ground.

It is a large but necessary one. Usually such Mega Project are built using Foreign Loan. But Foreign Financial Institution refused to fund because of Indian Objection(Location).
We can built KB Dam but KP Govt. will not get any Money from it. So no from Govt.
Sialkot airport was just an example.
Faisalabad, Lahore, Karachi and many other Cities Business Community and many Big Business Tycoons with some foreign investment.
I am not saying Business Community should fully own this but if we want them to pay then we should also give them ownership.
15~20$ billion in 8~10 year.
At the End China will Fund this project. The Real Question is either they will give us soft loan or we have to hand over the ownership.

Nice job with using your boot-licking brain.

Islamabad might be a far better deal for you but not for natives.

Watch the whole video. Having friends and business interest in Diamer, I have closely followed this issue.

if different teams work undertime line it can be done and heavy machinery will move one time its not every days one excavater or bulldozer coming from city and then go back. ground work takes time than actual construction.
Pakistani have hard time working with time limits the only thing we dont value is time which is the most precious element of life or for nation.

After Diamer bhasha dam we can actually think of desilting our existing dams as currently its not feasible. That itself can increase the storage capacity towards a healthy level.

First we don't know either they work 24hrs or not.
Second increasing workforce by 2 or 3 time mean 2 or 3 time bigger infrastructure and 2~3 time more resources.
Its not a just a machinery. And that machinery will need a wear and tear.
Bust most importantly we need Large Amount of cement, Sand and Gravel, Steel Bar and Fuel on daily basis.
we have 1 KKH connecting North with rest of Pakistan & for DB Dam this road will be used on daily basis. KKH is a 2 Lane 2 way traffic.
DB Dam is a massive 272 Meter tall RCC Structure. You can't work on Ground and 271 Meter at a same time.
Similarly Tunnel is also a slow Process we need to drill and we can't drill left, right and middle site at a same time.
