Conspiracy against Bangladesh :: Weekly Blitz
On January 17, 2011 one William Gomes [real name William Nicholas Gomes] published an article titled 'Military Intelligence behind the Illegal Arrest of Bangladeshi Labor Rights Activist' in online newspaper Sri Lanka Guardian. The beginning sentence of the article is: "Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI), the Bangladesh's Military Intelligence is behind the arrest of labor rights activist Moshrefa Mishu, a leftist political activist and President of the Garment Workers Unity Forum [GWUF], a labor rights organization of the readymade garment factories of the country. The Director General [DG] of DGFI directly reports to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Confined in Dhaka Medical Hospital [DHMC] by highly armed police officials Moshrefa Mishu exposed the horrific torture description the in several undercover interviews."
It may be mentioned here that, Mushrefa Mishu, [the so-called rights activities as referred in the titled article] is the main instigator behind year-long vandalism and notoriety with Bangladeshi readymade garments and textile sectors. And William Gomes is a former Islamist terrorist converted into Christianity and continuing various forms of illegal activities including trafficking of Bangladeshi women. In 2008, William trafficked out Mrs. Sima D. Silva, wife of James D. Silva [a Jehovah's Witness] and their daughter.
It may also be mentioned here that, while Mushrefa Mishu is under police custody, it is almost impossible for William Gomes to interview her on 'several' occasions, as he claimed. It is easily understood that, William Gomes is making such news with the ulterior motive of serving the purpose of anti-Bangladesh elements. William Gomes is recently appointed correspondent of the Sri Lanka Guardian in Bangladesh.
William Gomes in the same article also published a scanned image of a letter written to Bangladeshi Prime Minister by celebrated Indian writer Mahasweta Devi. It is quite interesting to note that, William Gomes managed a copy of such high-profile letter written to country's Prime Minister by another important figure in the neighboring nation. It is anticipated that, William Gomes must have somehow managed to approach Mahasweta Devi is getting a letter from her to Bangladeshi Prime Minister, with the objective of freeing notorious Mushrefa Mishu from the custody, thus once again pressing Bangladeshi readymade garments and textile sector into vandalism. It may be mentioned here that, textile and garment sector earns more than US$ 12 billion every year.
William Gomes runs a number of websites including this, where he did not mention any contact details of his whereabouts. It is suspected that, Gomes is receiving fund from foreign intelligence with the mission of damaging the image of the current ruling party in Bangladesh. He is reportedly campaigning against Bangladeshi government current offensives of Islamist militants and madrassas. He uses multiple fake identities such as human rights activist, journalist etc.
