Tehran, Nov 10, IRNA – Iran would soon carry out hot-fire test for its domestic-made long-range missiles including the S-300s, in a near future, said a senior military official on Wednesday.

'Good news' would be released in the future about developing long-range air defense systems, Deputy Coordinator of Khatamol-Anbia air base Brigadier General Mohammad-Hassan Mansourian told IRNA.

He added that Tehran was developing air defense systems to hit long-range targets.

The brigadier general criticized Russia for not meeting its commitments on delivering the S-300 missiles to Iran under pressures exerted on Moscow by the US and the Zionist regime.

The official added that experts of Iran's defense industry have succeeded to completely design and manufacture Mersad (Ambush) and Shahin (Hawk) missiles inside the country.

He stressed that the two air defense systems have successfully replaced their similar old western-style Hawk missiles.

S-300 is very capable system, Bulgaria also have it. In fact, it is one of the few capable AA's who can shot down F-16 without too many luck.

Most likely dummies, No S-300 delivered till date and and that money was refunded to Iran long ago.

They could be in the process of developing something inferior to S-300 but it would give them a good hands on experience in developing any such system and missile.

Yes, it is not S-300 because launching vehicles used in Parade deny existence of S-300. Those are dummies in video.

They are dummies which were show cased as a tech demonstration but are not capable of operation. Iran has itself confirmed it does not have moder S-300. Though they might have one or two earlier versions of S-300 which they got from Belarussia. Modern S-300 versions and S-400 are extremely capable machines specially if combined with Tor M-1 and Pantsir systems. Such a combination is almost impossible to break, the only way to disable it is by using intercontinental ballistic missiles which it is not immune against. Iran would have loved to have these systems in large numbers but started buying them late and in few numbers and as in the case of S-300, they failed to get delivery. Anyways, the best way for Iran is develop its own system and start from there. No foreign bought system can be trusted as it might have bugs and its disable codes are known to the enemy. In 1990, Iraq had one of the most sophisticated air defense installed in Baghdad all made in France. When the war started, French provided all the disable codes and bugs to Americans which they used it against the system with high success. Only locally developed systems can be trusted in a war. The foreign bought systems are only good for parades and show off, not in a real war, specially if your enemy is really powerful.

This video was dissected on Iran Defense, and it was shown that those TEL's are fake, or perhaps simply a prototype. One guy had pictures close up, and it looked like crudely welded tubing with a paint job, not a real S-300 TEL.

I don't disagree with defense, but regardless, Israel CANNOT attack Iran conventionally. Anything other than a 4-ship of F-16's doing an extreme-ranged strike with air to air refueling, is simply impossible. Too much distance between the nations. And contrary to all the bombastic news from Iran, the U.S. is not going to attack either.

On the truck it says 'we can do it',meaning we can make s-300 ourselves. recently they said they wont make their own version of s-300, but they are planning to make their own long range anti air more capable than s-300.

Israel does noy have the capability to attack iran, but usa does, but so what? i can beat up a 15 year old that does not mean i will.
