Reminds me of a story I heard once, when an Il-38 of IN started approaching within 150 NM of the USN Carrier. 02 x F-18s were vectored in, and they got on air to 'advise' IN's IL-38 to change course due to location of their carrier battle group and gave the exact coordinates of the base Il-38 took off from
Speaks for the technological integration.

The Il-38 was recently upgraded and was assigned to test it's sensors and data fusion.

Will see if I can coax any story out of 50 Sqn IAF crew which can be shared.
