Computerised land record centres set up in all tehsils of Punjab

Am not a leagui but have to admit , last time I visited lahore after a gap of 10 yrs it was totally transformed . While not a fan of metro in islamabad but in lahore and karachi its a must . Lahore is light years ahead from karachi whereas it used to be other way round . When are we going to get rid of bilo rani and the bandit gang ala zardari . When will we see a mass transit project in karachi ? Not while this ppp is in sind


Neither di I . I live in karachi and a friend recently bought land and he was on about patwari this and that . I guess as always qalandri is claiming something that has yest to be put for trials hehas a huge thread of developments in sind but its just ribbon cutting ceremonies to be exact and not even a single one of them is completed

WELL Every one had a slice of karachi include JI , MQM, ANP and PPP. But after the scourage is cleansed hopefully development can be restored. Metro project was on its way to karachi funded by Japan but PPP as usual thought that its not reaping any benefits for them so screw that. Instead they bought buses with kick backs and now all of them are in junkyard after 4 years.

Sindh was the first province to start computerisation of land records in 2011. Now upto 90% of the land has been computerised. The use of GIS mapping and geodatabase development has been effective in this regard.

Data Entry
The task of data entry and scanning of manual land record of province was assigned to 9 different data entry firms simultaneously. Training of customized developed software was provided to nominated staff of data entry firms .

95% of the land record has been entered into computerized database and provided to district administration in hard format for the verification of correctness and comparison with the original record which is currently under way.

Labs established by the data entry firms are shown in the picture below:

Data Center:
One of the major components of LARMIS is the Establishment of state of the art Data Center. Data Center houses entire record of all districts of Sindh.

Features of the Data Center:

• High Performance Rack Architecture (Better power, bandwidth, and support for each server)
• Redundant, Best-in-class Infrastructure (Redundant power, cooling, and network carriers)
• Compliance, Controls, and Security (24x 7 on-site securities. Rigorous controls)
• Design specification of the Data Center, Disaster Recovery Center has been approved by a world renowned firm namely M/s. Uptime (1st Uptime certified Data Center in Pakistan)

Frankly, what I see here people working on word and mspaint. Now I highly doubt any thing got computerised. And there are many people here in the forum who might have brought any land or something through computerised channel to confirm what you claim for.

I already started to pay taxes on the house which I missed to inform the authority(Its pretty high though as compare to size and location). Which means they are taking check & balance.
