Thank you for the correction. It's just with my experience at University one of my Bengali Indian house mates before his post work out food was always a lot of Milk and I had asked him why and he said he's a vegetarian due to his faith. Actually if I'm honest for my 3 years at university (being in a city which is predominantly Indian) all of my Indian house mates were vegetarian.

There are pockets of people who are specifically observant and/or vegetarians due to social norms beyond that the sheer amount of meat consumed in W.B is mind boggling.

i have been to US , canada, uk and europe. Ist chicken tikka more popular in UK than their national dish.

google for best food in world and you will know indian food is right there along with chinese and italian

I got bad news for some of you guys, couple of famous chefs agreed on a cookery programme here that there's only 5 Cuisines in the world (Cuisine in this case meaning, the inventors of the original food) For Example Italian doesn't count as it is almost the same technique and ingredients of French, same as Thai, as it's similar to Chinese but more local ingredients..

Evry country,continent has some real good food.
The lucky ones like myself,have a chance to try all.
There is no one best kitchen.
The food from the Indian cntinent(India,Pakistan,Bangladesh)are very good,so is Chinese,Indonesian.

My friends told me British curries have no taste.

British curries are gravy based. What I mean by gravy based is that a big batch of onions (100-200 onions) are boiled with other curry powders in water which then results in it going into a liquid form. That gravy is a base to all the different curries, for example to make a 'British' Chicken Korma, first you would add the gravy base, then add coronation milk, 2 spoons of coconut powder, add the chicken pieces then allow to simmer. This is a 'curry' in England lol.
