forget the Machh incident...this meeting was a message to the world, especially the opposition that the Establishment went to PM Imran Khan...He is OUR BOY! Imran Khan was thinking about dissolving the assemblies & going for general elections but the Military Establishment went to inform him to not to worry, he will resoundingly win the vote of confidence. a lot of PTI & allied party members have started assuring Imran Khan of their support after this meeting & speech. The rest Allah hu Alim...these are just rumors from journalists.

That is very true. Rupee can no longer be artificially maintained. It was wrong to artificially manipulate currency, goes to show how fragile the growth in Plmn term was, as soon as the artificial manipulation stopped it busted just like a bubble which we knew for years was going to happen. Sadly it was IK who had to pull the plug, the stats which some Plmn members share are just artificially inflated numbers.
To be exact 'achieving growth by circulating borrowed money and flooding the market with cheap imports' . Just look at the breakdown of which sector contributed most to that growth.

Always remember 'if you manipulate fundamentals to achieve growth it is temporary and will reverse as soon as the plug is pulled'. I feel sorry for the people who actually think Pakistan was progressing under Plmn by not understanding where those numbers were coming from. The best year of Plmn was 2016-17, after that was a complete disaster.

the baboon in the jungle that scratches its a*s and sniffs its fingers has more brains than PDM supporters. the rupee was artificially inflated by borrowing money from lenders, which is money that isnt ours, to artificially keep the rupee valuation high ($1=100PKR). our debt kept climbing, along with the CPEC debt, eventually no one was willing to give us more loans/debt and we were about to default. which means the ruppee's fake valuation was about to have its bubble burst, eventually did, and it came down to its real price which was $1=160PKR

Rupee is not deliberately depreciated but now is in market determined free float (supply demand). SBP is not throwing dollars to artificially manipulate rupee.

Last months of Plmn they were throwing in $500m each month. That was more than the circular debt accumulated each month, let that sink in.
