Co-education system a ‘ticking time bomb’ for youth: JI leader

If it is not written then how is it foretold Einstein?

For the later generations to make it written.

The fertile Indus can literally feed the world if we cared enough to feed atleast ourselves

True.. it's not workable till every one who support this system allow his sister to have male friends and think nothing gonna happen between adults. We are conservative society we sud stay away from this sys.

Pakistan can easily be an industrial country too, a capital of the innovation the world but we are "believers"

We don't need to follow others if we can lead the world in other methods.

Industrialization of the agricultural means is the way forward.

Farmers are the backbone of industrial growth in Germany and the United states of America.

China is feeding its billion people on a less fertile land. Through industrialization.

Not everyone has to make computer chips to be called industrialised. They are called institutionalised.

PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Provincial Chief Mushtaq Ahmad has lambasted the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government over its decision to implement co-education system in degree colleges and schools, terming it a “ticking time bomb” for the youth.

“We will never tolerate a boy and girl sitting together as it will fragment our societal values,” he remarked while addressing a student convention on Thursday arranged by the party’s student wing – Islami Jamiat-e-Talba.

“It’s a ticking time bomb for the youth and we will never accept Americanisation or Westernisation in the education system,” he added.

K-P to ‘standardise’ education in 402 public schools

The JI leader went on to say that the provincial government formulated the policy of co-education from nursery to fifth grade which will never be accepted by the party.

Ahmad further said the decision to implement the same system in the bachelors degree programme in colleges should be also be cancelled.

According to the JI leader, fifth graders are by no longer children in the current modern era of science and technology.

“Children who are 10 or 11 years of age should not be seated together,” Ahmad said.

The JI leader also raised his objections over the K-P education department’s newly-approved logos which has similarities with western culture which isn’t tolerated in Islam.

Ahmad was talking about the controversy that had erupted over the logo of the K-P Elementary and Secondary Education Department which many said had some sort of similarities with the logo of the Lesbian, Gays, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) – an organisation working for the their rights.

In a country where a male Dr gets fired for sending a friends' request on facebook to a so called "liberal" woman , co-education and inter-mingling of opposite genders should be 100% banned @I.R.A @django @OverLoad @Garfield @Divergent @Well.wisher @OverLoad

Pakistanis as a society are not ready for a co education system for higher secondary school classes (the period between primary and graduation). There are multiple reasons for this which vary depending on priorities of our state and we people ourselves.

The state of Pakistan is interested in building roads only whereas it has little to no interest in physical well being of its citizen, it has no plans and vision for well being of its citizen, there are no practical steps taken to produce healthy young minds full of bright ideas (very few get lucky to achieve that on their own). The dwindling number of sports facilities / opportunities and deteriorating condition of limited number of public parks, shameful situation of our hockey talent, is a testimony to that fact. These political dynasties, Sardars, Chaudhry and landlords or whatever they are, they never want or wanted healthy open minded educated common Pakistanis.

A young mind can be kept busy with such ventures ......... believe me it would have a lot of positive effect on how we see opposite gender and keep our hormones in control and balance. There is no way our state encourages innovation, research and new ideas. These things get killed at very early stage ....... when the parents start feeding their children "You should become a doctor", "You should become an engineer", "You should become a pilot" .... very little to no attention is paid to "What I want to become" ...... basically the whole education system and related necessary facilities are messed up.

We (majority) as a people portray ourselves as conservatives ...... but in reality we are little insecure perverts. From sick old bastard shopkeepers to sexual predators sitting at high positions, we have sick minds. The very sight of a tight jeans wearing female or a nicker wearing male makes us lose our mind and control, the mentioning of names of our body parts take us wandering into fantasies. A society high on pervert hormones and little to no open mindedness ...... sorry we aren't that strong yet. Our love hormonal imbalance make us kill 17 people ........

The day our boy starts to think of his female class fellow as an equal contributor and productive unit and worry about his strict tight busy schedule including at least two hours physical activity in some form of sport, the day our girl starts thinking beyond I can be married to this boy, and I have to finish my studies for my evening yoga, karate, cycling, exercise session ........ may be that day we can think about it.

billions studying in co-education , and billions are working on co-working environment ....the JI leader needs to really get on with the reality of modern world

Our parliament is chaired in co-working setup

Note the girl/guy issue is a part of human life happens every where
Girls in uni in Pakistan act like ho's for 'treats' and make guys fight over them sometimes leading to shootings. After graduating they marry off somewhere else.

Agreed it seems he is one of those failed romeos. I didn't experience any such thing during my stays in Pakistan.

Did you study in a Pakistani university or even socialize around a campus?

I merely wrote an observation that most Pakistanis who have attended universities in Pakistan would agree with.

I think boys should grow up around boys. Too much feminine influence at home anyways.

Most coed guys are pansies, no offense to anyone here.

Cheers, Doc
