An alliance with the US is like a highly addictive drug (as many nations have given examples of)- you get a taste at first, you like it, then you crave more and more and at the end of it you are completely destroyed, hooked and of no help to anybody. Look at UK they are now almost completely dependent on the US for almost everything from the most basic military infrastructure to nuclear launch codes. But France has kept as far away from US' tenticals as it can and maintained self reliancy (and self respect) and they are looking good and can do what they like. IMO the GoI is aware of all these issues and are much too smart (and proud!) to get too involved with the US.

dam this lady was an idiot, ofcourse because she is a lady and is talking abt a missile which not a very feminine topic. she seemed to be to pissed that india and other countries are developing missiles.

Maybe the sight of a missile reminds you of a "masculine thing", but I hate to break it to you, missiles don't have genders.

Missiles fly properly if they are well designed, whether they were designed by abdul kalam or tessy thomas.
