My point exactly, there are reasons why we need dams near Jehlum, Kalabagh etc but our people are too incompetent and love to blame each others to realize this.

exactly. the magnitude of difference it would make escapes most people. if only they understood the gravity of situation, and were educated on how much impact water reservoir and storage dam can make on preventing hundred of lives from being lost every few year from freak floods. then any one caught even indirectly delaying kalabagh, bhasha, dasu or any other major dam would be stoned to death by people themselves! that is the point we need to reach, the level of urgency.

@Shahmir kashmir See this is why most people in Punjab don't like SS, he has been here for a long time seen so many floods yet he doesn't builds anything. You were saying you like seeing him in common people, do you know who the people are there in the dharna? These very common people, people holding portraits of themselves and SS who came to them and said I would get justice for you, yet nothing.

This is not only your family situation but it was widely prevalent in Punjab and Pakistan until 20 or more years ago.

This is not only your family situation but it was widely prevalent in Punjab and Pakistan until 20 or more years ago.

No one knows what will happen in future but till recently this has been the case with all castes/tribes in punjab, it has been a kind of taboo. Nevertheless I am done with this topic. So I will delete my abusive posts , you can also do it with your posts where you quoted those abusive posts.

Again i am not saying that copying and pasting what they did in the Netherlands will work in Pakistan, but i just want to point out that nothing is impossible only if the Pakistani officials / politicians really care about the average Pakistani.

Punjab is a plain land, or no dams can be build on chenab etc ..... are all just excuses for not doing anything for the common man and fooling him again and again.

If the politicians and officials think it is not possible then there also equal number of engineers and experts if not more who can do things to avert such damage in the future, if not completely at least a big portion of it.
