Drone pilots? HAHAHA thts like a video game! no opponent aircraft just targets on ground... lock,fire and forget!

Common sense!

Actually it may come as a surprise but the USAF uses rated officer pilots. Though recently they are moving to offer a separate career field in remote piloted aircraft that will allow non rated officers to fly them.

Perhaps not as simple as video games. I know there is a graduate school for drone pilots in US.

I heard they used to fly F-16, F-15s and transferred to drones.

Guys are getting drones right out of pilot training, but they are rated pilots.

It is like going through a year of tanker school and being told to drive a moped around instead of an M1-A1. They are NOT happy.

Drones have a level of autonomy and AI to them that makes flying them more of an exercise in programming than flying.
