Dear HaveZSultan,
Why is it shocking to you that there is an Abdul Quddus and an Ali Khan working for U.S. CENTCOM? There should be no surprises, especially when we identify ourselves as a U.S Central Command employee. We sign our posts by the names given to us by our parents. We are 1st and 2nd generation American with Pakistani backgrounds, and we chose to keep our given names. I am sorry that you have problems with them. Please get over it. There are millions of Muslims living in the United States and by the grace of God; most are very educated and intelligent. Many of them are also working with the U.S. government. In every society there is discrimination but we are fortunate to work in an environment where we are given a free hand to speak our minds and help build relationship between our two countries.
