Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, who earlier this week visited an operational PAF base and flew a familiarization sortie in an F-16 to verify/validate how the PAF would respond to certain threat perceptions has issued a statement and this is what he had to say to the guys who have been given clear-cut orders and targets to take out should they have to do the needful.

"Chairman JCSC General Zubair Mahmood Hayat has stated that Pakistan has noted with deep concern the rash and irresponsible statement by IAF Chief regarding 'targeting Pakistan's Nuclear Weapons.'

While to some it may be surprising that the senior most Indian active duty Air Force officer has made such a threat, which constitutes advert strategic escalation; to us in Pakistan it just reconfirms the current aggressive Indian strategic thought and behaviour, which has been dangerously emboldened by a 'permissive' environment.
This Indian quest for force application against nuclear weapons and blinded focus on war in a fragile strategic environment is a real and tangible 'alert call.'

As a credible and responsible nuclear power, Pakistan rejects this Indian strategic posture.

Let there be no doubt that any Indian strategic miscalculation or misadventure (now or at any other time) will be responded with such force, as necessary, to teach a lesson to the errant party."

What wud you expect from adversary ? of course he wud reply in a same manner.
No body here considers pakistan as sitting duck.

Miscalculation or misadventure isn't a part of their DNA!!!! They believe in conjectures. As long as Pak keeps the perception adverse to their 100% winning projection, she is OK!!! It means firing some increasingly improved missiles at a regular interval from land, air and sea...

And, don't forget to show your Aybek/Ghori/Babur/EbdAli mindsets/attitude etc. Rahmetli Zia-ul Hak flashed it out for an atto-second long duration with his body language to the Indian PM, who happened to be the "Brahmin of Brahmins" from the finest Parsi/Aryan stock India has ever produced, and it has been keeping them away from crossing into Pak border for the last 3 decades!!! Not a bad theatrics in my book...

It's unprecedented and rather naive for a IAF's senior most officer to make such a brazen statement.
We know it's IAF day tomorrow but surely ACM Dhanoa could have found some other method to remain relevant.

no body here cares for army day or airforce day.

Although it is good to show that we will strike back, it would have been better if we had batteries of S-400 defending the homeland. But then again, this could be Indian tactic to force us to show our Aces (HQ-9?????????)

What's with stupid bravado coming out of Indian military leadership?

Is this to hide their embarrassment on the spanking by Chinese in Dokalam?

You military leadership is making noise like empty vessels, they need to focus and respond where the humiliation is coming from (hint: In Dokalam by China). Issuing irresponsible statements against Pakistan may divert gullible Indian's attention, but it will not make Chinese leave the area.

China - India stand-off is not the subject.

On topic: It is true that whatever IAF Chief stated, is a mindset and speaks volume of adversary's approach. Either it was a statement for public consumption, make headlines and boosting etc in India, still the same be taken as a threat. Speaking of readiness, men in suit in most countries knows what happened at the time of Pakistan N Test. As ACM says back then that dare not to do so. There was a reason that CJCSC visited operational PAF Base.

Indian designs were squarely check mated when PAF Airchief flew in a sortie out of Skardu...now the IAF ACM with irresponsible statements is merely showboating to salvage some reputation...none the less, as you have judged, PAF is not letting any guards down.

When you live next door to a state which sponsors terrorism and use it as an extension of its foreign policy. War preparedness is routine.

There is an agreement between India and Pakistan not to attack nuclear installation and they both keep exchanging list with each other so that the other party may not mistakenly hit nuclear installation, this agreement done after Pakistan responded against Indian-Isreali plan to attack Pakistani nuclear installation and as retaliation Pakistan send a clear message that we will hit your nuclear assets as well.

No doubt Windi.... Violation of ceasefire resulting in killing civilians on Pakistani side and crossing the border into Pakistan, are two different things having no comparison. PAF at the time of N-Test and today, has improved a lot and few sane minds at adversary knows well what is going to hit back.

Such sortie, as you reminded, could have been done again by ACM alone but presence of CJCSC on board, speaks hell of volume. Such over-acting/confidence will affect India at scale that IAF Chief did not realize at all nor Modi. I see all this boosting and hyper statements to support upcoming elections in India which has been the norm for most of campaigns to speak with such bravado and have the vote but hiding latter.

So, he was trolling the journo or what?
