CITIZENSHIP OF THE TURKIC WORLD

By that logic, shouldn't you say you came from "half of the world" instead of only "mid-Asia"?

I am talking about where the journey began mate.

All my life I thought you are your genes. Genes are the codes that "make life" - your behavior, your intelligence, your physique, your personality - it's all pre-programmed with genes. Which is why cultures differ between groups of different genetic make up (i.e. ethnic and racial divide). But I'm talking from a materialistic point of view. You can certainly be what you feel, from a non-materialistic, spiritual point of view.

You are right pal but just because my ancestors fvcked with greeks doesn't make me greek... Genes are about being human as you said, your behavior, your intelligence, your physique, your personality, not about being Turk, French or whatever... Cultures differs not because of genes but the envirement and culture you grown up, for example take a newborn Finnish baby and raise him inTurkey, he will adopt whole Turkish culture deeply and will be more Turk than me.. He will have no clue if he is from Finland or whereelse..

.
But are you guys not genetically closer to Middle Easterners? Genetics wise, I was under the impression that Turks are closest to Middle Easterners, followed by Europeans in the Balkans/Eastern Europe and finally some genetic overlap with other "Turkic" nations. What do you think?

Genetics don't matter. I can relate much easier to someone who speaks Turkish than someone who just looks like a Turk but is mum when he opens his mouth.

I think we as Turks are the only ones who care this Turkic identity and its roots among all of those countries. During Soviet regime they became more Russian than Russians and doubtful they give a fvck about Turkic Citizenship. Dissolution was only on the map, they are still under heavy hegamony of Reds and we have nothing to do a single shit unless we get better, faster, stronger...

just LOLed LOL i lived in soviet union, i didn't become russian. what you said can be applied only and only to big cities (which is applicable to any big city in the world. for example, kurds who settled in western anatolia forgot their native language and become culturally and linguistically turks) and northern kazakhstan, which is understandable. they lived side by side with russians for more than 5 centuries (there are turkmen tribes in s. and se anatolia who were kurdified in a much shorter time). people of turkey care about turko-muslim identity (which is the result of your ottoman past, i.e. ummah blabla) and islam is an integral part of your identity. we, turks of central asia and siberia care about our legacy more than you and at least we don't entangle religion and ethnic identity (i.e. like you anatolian turks think that a turk must be a muslim :what: forgetting/ simply out of ignorance that half of turk nations are not muslim).

@FutureMe I deleted most of my writings.. too offensive..

I make it shorter.. we are just a milk cow for turkey many shit is happaning abroad but there is no big deal in it let them burn a cheap tea house or a mosque..

As a result of running an empire thousand year under your control on three continents that's quiet normal recently researches show our genetical structure mixed up with half of the world. Gens have nothing to do with this, imo. You are what you feel deep inside of you. We came from mid-Asia and there is where our roots lye with other Turkic nations.

not all of us.. many or most Türkiyeli (I use this word with full meaning) are not Turkic.. for me I am bozok turkmen origin but for shure some forfathers married something else.. many ppl are just assimilated to Turkish society..and you can see it all along turkey

istanbul area more like european (except those who cam from everywhere from turkey)
if you go to east you see ppl who look more like Arab/kurd
Black see region is another story middle of turkey also

its nation not race in turkey wich is important now..

By that logic

for us its mostly important what your father is if your father is arab then you are arab if hes turk then you are turk..

islam is an integral part of your identity

not only we Uzbeks, Uyghurs, Turks in Afghanistan, many Kazakhs, Turkmen.. dont talk disdainful about Muslim turks.. because most of turks are Muslim if we want to be someone who loves his folk then we should love everyone.. not a single groub..

This study will give us the road map of what/how/when/who/where to do/make in time.

What makes this study reliable is the participants from 8 countries. There is already some other hard Works that have already been initiated and made some serious progress. So Pre-work phase is already built...

Dude seriously I have no idea what you are talking about, living in another country only ofcourse doesn't change you that's why I gave "envirement and culture" examples and this culture must the first one you met and again that's why I gave "newborn Finnish baby" example... We are talking about the same things, take 2 kurdish boy and raise one of them in S. Eastern Şırnak in a totally kurdish cultural envirement and the other one in a big city. They will not be the similar person in the end just because of their genes.

Secondly I really don't care what do you believe in, Tengri or Allah, I speak for myself, my Muslim Ottoman past and historic Turkic past are both welcome and mostly I proud of them..

ok, since you didn't understand let me write simpler. you wrote:

I think we as Turks are the only ones who care this Turkic identity and its roots among all of those countries.

and i replied that you don't care about turkic identity, but turko-muslim identity as a result of your ottoman past.

you wrote
During Soviet regime they became more Russian than Russians and doubtful they give a fvck about Turkic Citizenship.

and i replied that you're pulling facts out of your ***. the assumption that turks of central asia are like russians stems from early 1990ies when first turk students from central asia came to turkey. anatolian nationalists and generally anatolian people were expecting zealous, pious muslims but what they got was secular, non-muslim turks from central asia. hence the sentiment that "central asian turks are more russians than russians" because in muslim turkey's eyes russian=moskof=kuffar. capische? and you most probably heard it in your local tea house and trying to use it as an argument LOL how many times you visited central asian countries to propose such bullcrap? bilgi sahibi olmadan fikir sahibi olma durumları her zamanki gibi.

Dissolution was only on the map, they are still under heavy hegamony of Reds and we have nothing to do a single shit unless we get better, faster, stronger...

turkey is de jure fully independent country, but de facto it is/was nato's and america's bitch for a long time.

. We are talking about the same things, take 2 kurdish boy and raise one of them in S. Eastern Şırnak in a totally kurdish cultural envirement and the other one in a big city. They will not be the similar person in the end just because of their genes.

i didn't reply to/ quote your other posts, why are you referring to them? :hitwall:

Secondly I really don't care what do you believe in, Tengri or Allah, I speak for myself, my Muslim Ottoman past and historic Turkic past are both welcome and mostly I proud of them..

who said anything about believing in this or that? for all i care, you can believe in little green men ruling over humans or unicorns farting rainbows. and btw, you know about your turkic past only because Atatürk introduced türk kökeni in lieu of ottoman ümmet anlayışı, and thus tried to severe society's links to ottoman sentiments.

Well since you don't know me how can you make coclusion about me? Whether if I have been to Turkic states or not.. Or how many Turkic people I met? Kahve kültürüm yoktur kulaktan dolma konuşmam söylediğim herşey belli bilgi birikimlerinin sonucudur. Benim hakkımda bilgi sahibi olmadan fikir sahibi olman kendi ağzından çıkan söylemlerle çelişiyor gibi sanki ne dersin?

But the problem is you generalised central asian turkics eventhough most Anatolian Turks care more about being muslim then being Turkic......
