They did the same thing in Kashmir in 1990. They gave 3 choices to Hindus in Kashmir. Convert , Die or Leave the valley. Within 48 hours around 500000Hindus were forced to leave the valley.

It's the religion that is to blame when the believers of that religion go about killing,looting and maiming people citing verses of their religious book...The silence (in action not literally) of their co religionists only makes the entire religion complicit.. No wonder followers of this particular religion are in swords against every other religion.

Rape is completely forbidden in Islam. So is the murder of an innocent. I'm a Muslim and many of my friends here in the UK are not, no one is at swords against anyone. Blaming an entire religion of billions of people for the actions of some assholes is called overgeneralising.

Just google "Protest against ISIS" and you'll see plenty of people protesting, many of them Muslims.

As for the "No Jews No News" argument,
The reason people protest against Israel more is not just hatred of Jews. Its also the fact that Israel is a nation state that claims to be the most "moral" army in the world and that it would not be capable of waging war without US support. It is supported by many nations, despite its crimes.
ISIS on the other hand, is already condemned by almost every nation on Earth.

Epicurus won't dent the Islamic thought-process, although it casts wide open the very fundamental beliefs of the Christians. To a Muslim it's simple. This world is a test. Come what may. If good has happened to you it is the will of Allah because he is testing your gratefulness and the extent to which you are appreciative of his merciless bounty. If you are thankful and reverent, then you pass the test of plenty.

If evil happens to you, then it is also the will of Allah. He is testing your ability to persevere and be patient. If you do just that, you pass the test of affliction.

You are judged on both your abilities and provided you have complied with the basic 5 pillars you are granted entry into Heaven. Actually both the abilities are part and parcel of the 5 pillars to, but this is the general idea of how a Muslim views all the pain and suffering as well as all the good in this world.

Note: I've left out the talk on how the pain and suffering can also be viewed as the wrath of Allah, and I've done so for very good reason.

Man has endeavoured to explain by one way or the other, all the grief which enshrouds us a species and lo and behold you have religion. It gives purpose to the faithful and a sense of belonging and continuity when a calamity befalls an individual.
