Choosing corvettes for the Hellenic Navy

So the Sigma 10514 can have both RAM and Seasnake? :o

Nice!
If you see the corvettes of other countries, there is always something missing, such as RAM, RIWS, C-ECM even HMSonar.
The Greek navy, however, requested corvettes for its own military warfare, fully equipped, a small frigate.

I think the French are starting to realize they should put CIWS on their ships finally...

Certainly, if this is confirmed, it changes the program.
According to the ptisi magazine, italian Ficantieri proposed to Greece the delivery of two corvettes from the corvettes Al Zubarah class that are already under construction for Qatar at its shipyard, after consultation with Qatar.
The configuration will be the Qatari and not the one that the Greek navy wants.

If they can deliver 1 or 2 corvettes by the end of the year or early 2023 that is amazing!

Although to be honest,I would like some Gowind too 😋

@Gomig-21 @Ghostkiller @Hydration ya shabab,check this out.

I was reading some nice articles from Ptisi.

The deadline for the companies to deliver their final offers to the Hellenic Navy is supposedly in late June.

Unfortunately, the Dutch haven't come back with a new offer. The Germans haven't surprised us with a Sa'ar 6 HN,like Ptisi said.

So the three contestants that are left are France with the Gowind HN,the Italians with the FCX-30 and the British with the Arrowhead 140 HN.

The Gowind HN is offered with:
  • 16xMICA VL
  • RAM CIWS with 21 missiles
  • 8 MM40 Exocet Block III
  • 2xNarwal 20mm auto-cannons
Advantages:

  • Both FDI HN and Gowind HN will have SETIS
  • France was the only country that supported Greece against Turkish provocations
Disadvantages:

  • The French offered to only modernise 2 of the MEKO 200HN frigates completely and only modernise the other two partially

The FCX-30 is offered with:

  • 16xMICA VL,but also Aster-30 or CAMM-ER
  • Strales
  • RAM CIWS with 21 missiles
  • TISEO Mk2/E anti-ship missiles
Advantages:

  • Slightly better price from the French offer
  • All the above weapons
  • Building in Greece and Italy with no extra costs
Disadvantages:

  • Probably political

Arrowhead 140 HN is offered with:

  • 18xCAMM and 18xCAMM-ER
  • 76mm gun
  • 2x30mm auto-cannons
Advantages:

  • Basically frigates in the almost the price of corvettes
  • 36 AA missiles
  • The British offered to install a Phalanx CIWS as well,if we want
  • TACTICOS system
  • They offered to modernise all four MEKO 200HN
Disadvantages

  • Higher price for the modernisation of the MEKO 200HN
  • Britain's pro-Turkish in general and didn't support us during the 2020 crisis

All three offers are great.

So which one would you choose?

Could you elaborate on the political concerns?

Atm I think the Italian ship is the best deal because building it in-house provides some excellent experience, it's decently priced and also packs a good punch

However, the lack of HMS and/or VLS sonars are something that will count in the final selection, because let's not forget that the turkish submarines are a measurable and real threat for the Hellenic Navy.
