The Chinese had said on the 7th of August that a limited war "within 2 weeks" was possible, that time has come and gone and still the most the Chinese have done is create cringe-worthy prpoganda videos and throw some stones at ITBP police officers.

At first I was a little wary of the Chinese but with the endless "warnings" and their childish antics I cannot put it any other way- the Chinese have utterly humiliated themselves and their credibility is totally gone. Never again will any Indian military planner fear the Chinese nor will India ever again back down in front of these thugs when threatened.


The constant barrage of threats was amusing to begin with but now it is just boring, all the while the Indian side has remain silent, quietly confident. What is it they say- empty vessels make the loudest sounds?


The Chinese wanted the world to believe they were the next global superpower.......

To be fair it was some "think tank" probably under pressure to go with the global times flow. No idea to tell if he seriously meant it....but definitely not an official of the PRC govt.

That said, I also was waiting for the two weeks to elapse just to see this thread hehe. Hope the usual characters are having their dosage of venting and fun

All jokes and bravado aside, these two are two of the top three most important countries in the world. Global development, human development, future depends upon the US, India and Chine. If they cannot find a way to peacefully resolve disputes among themselves, how will they set good examples for the other countries to follow?

No different from families. If dad and mom cannot resolve their disputes without shouting and attacking each other, the kids go on drugs and misbehave. Just see how some Pak posters are already pom-pomming for war!

Infact I still.beleive that since the issue has aggravated to this level, a military action is the only way for China to save its face in international arena otherwise this will be a huge morale boost to the countries in SCS who now will be fully aware of Chinese aggressive warnings strategy.

Then, they will have to content with not only loss of face but also loss of life.

To many of our Indian friends, the fact you pointed out is much less important than the satisfaction that a "complete victory" over a "Strew-man Argument" can bring them. Just how many "thanks" the PO has collected.

Incase of conflict, all bets are off and the first casuality will be the one china view of India.
Indian army should move to provide independence to the Tibetan ppl by wresting Tibet from chinese control.
Also immediately recognize Taiwan and maintain full diplomatic relations with it.
HK is in anycase having its own independence movement , so a diplomatic presence in HK should also be pursued.

The pics you posted of 1962, remember there was only division strength of Indian army involved with PLA, that is 10000 soldiers.

You really think India could only manage 10000 soldiers in war?

Now when Indian army is matched men to men and gun to gun, brave PLA tried to attack Indian border police and that too in middle of celebrations of 15 Aug, thousand kilometres away from doklam.

And then, you left without holding Indian territory even when Indians are still at doklam, with bruises and wasting everyone's time!

Moreover, we are now constructing road in same territory, try to stop it.

Chinese have enough infrastructure and preparedness to mount an assault within 72 hours, assuming their soldiers are already acclimatized. Maximum would be 10 days.

Long story short, Chinese cannot win a limited theatre short battle without risk of stalemate or even loosing face. They are threatening India with long war where they have advantage.

But intent of capturing doklam is that PLA holds advantage over brief and long wars in future by squeezing Chicken's Neck.

But since doklam was front for future, PLA holds no advantage over fighting full scale war for a war scenario in future whilst fighting it today with more losses.

So India checkmated Chinese today instead of us getting checkmate in future.
