Chinese troops intrude into Indian territory in Ladakh, erect a tented post

Where did it say that they painted rocks?

Actually! I was referring about previous incidents on that part.

Anyways, the problems has been solved among the IA and PLA officers, so nothing to worry about. They maybe just got lost and walked to the wrong direction. Such things happen frequently as the officer said in the article.

They came, they saw, and they went back. Giving a massive KLPD to some pakistanis, who are expecting China to fight India on their behalf.

Its nothing to worry about, its has already been settled between commanders of the IA and the PLA.

Only the sensationalist media and some idiotic (sry had to be said once) fanboys on forums need to make such a fuss around it.

Alright! Can you please provide link that they went back and issue is settled now ?

Thanks.

One more thing "wot the hell is being done by the impotent paralysed prime minister Manmohan Singh of India..... I personally feel shame that a shameless person chaired on the prime minister of india....

India ek mandir ka ghanta hai, koi bhi bajake chala jaata hai. Nothing to worry :enjoy:
don't you worry about us Tommer because afaik there were four attempts made in the past to capture Indian soil by our advarsaries and they were forced to retreat each of those times.so if something like that does happen in the near future history will repeat itself again!:coffee:

This region is in close proximity withthe Siachen Glacier and IAF maintains an airbase here. If Chinese think they can play games with Indian Army and take over the land they would be so wrong. IA takes its Himalayan assets quite seriously and even the current sellout Congress government can not restrain the Army over this issue because whole J&K is at stake here.

Talks are a better option to deflate the tension and return to status quo, but the Army will never give up land that close to siachen.

You really must be naive to think this was a case of "wrong direction" you are beginning to sound like your PM and former COAS Deepak Kapoor who typically called these incidents "misunderstanding". The Chinese army knew very well with what they were doing, they deliberately came in and did a recon mission, camped and set up tent on a peak in Ladakh all undetected (as far as we know). Such things happen frequently because your security is weak in that sector and the Chinese are testing and exploiting now so in future conflict they are ready.

Ladak belongs to China... they dont need permission from Indians whatever the ***** they are doing there

Of course..You are right..It is same logic how we can say once the present BD was of India....Am i right??...

Chinese media doesn't report such minor news because nobody cares enough to read it.

It is well known that there are differing perceptions of the LAC so what is the point in screaming every time when everyone knows the cause.

Nobody is worrying about the Himalayas here. Everyone is looking to the Pacific.

Spot on....To be honest...India and its media should also put the correct fact that there is not any clear cut demarcation of certain aread of India and China border...It happens that even Indian troop also regularly go to the area where China feels that India should not go....These kind of issues happens in every country that has issues of no clear demarcation of border...Nothing new...

To the point of China dragon....You should also understand why Indian public perception is like this to such news...The fact is China is a big power...You are too much military superiority wrt India in the strength...So that always makes nation like India being sensitive to any kind of forward movement of your troops towards India...Because ..for you, India may be a nuances...but for India, China is a big power...and it is power from whom India has already faced flak militarily in the past....

So the perception of people and media in India is expected..You can not blame them...So it requires the leadership of India to assure the nation about the security and integrity of our country so that people will not react to it.....

These Pakistanis and Chinese think that nuclear war is a game, do they know that if there was nuclear war they would be affected by the fallout as well? And you think the rest of the world would stand by and watch India being nuked? There wont be anything left of China and their terrorist friends if they attack India.

Very funny, an Indian parading in French flag lecturing Pakistan and China on war strategy. Nobody is going to come to India's rescue in a two-front war between Pakistan and China vs India; all that will be done is futile UN security
Council Resolutions and considering China is a permanent member of UNSC they can veto anything they don't like.

There wont be anything left of China and their terrorist friends if they attack India

That's too bad you'll just have to watch the war on tv, meanwhile both Pakistan and China are doing dp on India.

Indian naval upsurge

February 29, 2012 S M Hali 0

TRENDING DISCUSSIONS

Pakistan Naval (PN) Chief Admiral Asif Sandila, in an interview to the US weekly, Defense News, responding to a question regarding the threat Pakistan faces from an Indian nuclear-powered, nuclear-armed ballistic submarine upsetting the current strategic balance in South Asia, stated that “The strategic dimension of India’s naval build-up is a cause of concern not only for us but for the entire Indian Ocean region.”
Indian Navy (IN), in effect, is on a massive upsurge plan to build a blue water armada. Its colossal development plans include the acquisition of both indigenous and leased nuclear powered submarines and various other platforms capable of launching nuclear weapons to complete its triad i.e. delivering nuclear weapons from the air, surface and sub-surface thus confirming its second strike capability. India’s initiation to nuclear subs came with its acquisition of a Chakra class nuclear submarine from former USSR in 1987 on 10 years lease. The invaluable experience led to its desire for the development of indigenous nuclear submarines under the head of Advanced Technology Vessels (ATV) at Shipping Centre Vishakhapatnam in 1998. Indian scientists claimed that they have been able to fit an indigenous Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) of 90 MW in the ATV’s hull. However, it is assessed that the PWR has been acquired from Russia. By mid 96, an amount of US$ 185.7 million was spent on ATV project and the cost has now escalated to US$ 3.7 billion.
At present, India has 14 active submarines in the fleet whereas IN has contracted France for 6 Scorpene submarines. These subs are being constructed in Indian shipyard and are likely to be inducted in Indian fleet by 2018. The Defence Committee of India has also approved procurement of 6 more conventional Submarines in addition to the six already being built with the help of France. The PWR of India’s first indigenously developed ATV, INS/M Arihant went active last year, while its sea trials are completing soon and Arihant’s induction is expected by end 2012. Simultaneously, fabrication work on the three follow-on nuclear-powered submarines is in full swing whereas, the reactor for the 2nd S/M is being constructed with the help of Russia. The 2nd INS/M Aridhaman is expected to be ready for sea trials by 2015. The IN nuclear subs are to be armed initially with the 750 km Sagarika (K-15) Submarine Launched Ballistic Missiles (SLBM) and at a later stage with the under-development 3,500 km K-4 SLBMs. INS/M Arihant has four silos to carry twelve 750 km range, Sagarika SLBM or four K-4s. Meanwhile, IN has acquired two Russian Akula-II class nuclear submarines on lease from Russia because it wants to have three SSBNs and six SSNs (Nuclear-powered Attack Submarines) in the long term. It is envisaged that by 2025 India will have around 30 conventional Submarines in her flotilla.
The induction of the nuclear submarines in the Indian Ocean will have serious implications for the region. It is going to elevate the international status of India amongst regional and extra regional nations/navies, while the existing security calculus in Arabian Sea vis-à-vis PN will significantly shift in the favour of IN. The threat to Chinese, Australian, Indonesian and other regional navies will increase multifold. Nuclear submarines provide the reach to attack the adversary in far flung waters across the globe as well as remain undetected under water at great depths for prolonged periods, without needing to come up to the surface for recharging its batteries or refueling. Operationally, they will act as a force multiplier armed with nuclear tipped missiles, their induction will further enhance IN’s capabilities to strike inside Pakistan while staying well away from Pakistani coast line.
IN’s other acquisitions include the aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov, renamed as INS Vikramaditya with 16 MiG-29K/KUBs and 6 to 8 Ka-31 AEW helicopters. India is also constructing 3 Indigenous Aircraft Carriers for the IN. It also plans to construct 3 destroyers of Kolkata class and Guided Missile Frigate’s, four ASW Corvettes, four 4 Saryu class Operational Patrol Vessels, four Landing Platform Docks, and acquire two Osprey Class Mine Hunters and eight P8-I Long Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft from USA, besides developing additional strategic naval bases.
In the face of such a massive build-up, PN has its task cut out. It cannot match IN ship to ship but the Pakistani Naval Chief in his interview stated “We are mindful of this development and taking necessary measures to restore the strategic balance.” The nation thus needs to invest prudently into building its navy.

we are half doomed why you want to compare yourself with us and china with US ? I am not among the guys who love getting pampered or hide the facts behind the walls of ego ..... btw those intruders came in stayed there for long time erected a tent and then left dont tell me all that time your guys were sleeping .....these areas in hostile vicinity are sensitive and need to be monitored with eagle eyes and not with excuses

Mani, as long as border disputes are not resolved such intrusion's are normal and mostly resolved through existing mechanism in place.

our anti Chinese media report's half story,
