Not unless they come as a large invading force. The himalayas prevents any large troop movements. Small patrols are not a threat, because we don't expect them to actually engage in combat. Nor do we expect them to support any terrorist activity within India by infiltrating secretly.

You have to remember, a lot of troublemakers have infiltrated into India though the Indo-pak border. A small group of pakistani soldiers who intrude can do a lot of damage, by providing cover for infiltrators, or by conducting reconnaisance for infiltrators, or by firing at our soldiers or....there are many possibilities. Indian and pakistani soldiers have fired at each other from time to time, a few soldiers on either side occasionally die due to firing or shelling from across the border. None of this is true about the Indo-China border. Soldiers don't do unprovoked firing, they don't help infiltrators sneak in. The relations are very very different.

There is a reason for that. We have a private media that reports on every single issue, from an actress winking to a politician's cousin's son-in-law sneezing. News doesn't flow out that easily from china. Their media is govt controlled. And their media doesn't report on every irrelevant issue. Both parties often bump into each other, and there is a standard procedure that follows, of a low level meeting.

Chinese media doesn't report such minor news because nobody cares enough to read it.

It is well known that there are differing perceptions of the LAC so what is the point in screaming every time when everyone knows the cause.

Nobody is worrying about the Himalayas here. Everyone is looking to the Pacific.

Sleeping in the neighbour's territory for a night, and then packing up his bag and going back when the neighbours come around, might be the high point of the careers of certain "commandos". (You know who I'm referring to, right?) But that's not really considered to be a big boasting point for professional armies.

Only certain countries boast about that as their biggest national accomplishment, of jumping into the neighbours' house and fleeing when he arrives. China and India have bigger dreams and better aspirations.

So the PLA has sent some troops into Indian territory. Not a big deal. All India has to do is send troops to the border (10km past the tent village) and then seal the border, which will cut off the PLA troops from supplies. Then the IA can sit back and watch the PLA troops starve.

India has not declared any war on its neighbours even though many of them are weak.. Like Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, sri lanka, etc.. we have not occupied even one inch of our neighbours by force.. they are not scared ...

But Pakistani people are still paranoid of India attacking them and wanting it to be merged with it.even after 50 years of independence. I don't understand this.
