What's new

Chinese recruit almost gets himself killed in grenade practice.

Uh no, you just have to have decent training and instinct. These kinds of things come natural afterwards.

The recruit is being trained. Instinct has much to do with yes, but some people don't have it. Doesn't matter what country. The recruit looks like some poor farmer from a Chinese village that has no idea what is going on.

"The recruit looks like some poor farmer from a Chinese village."

Really what a nonsensical comment as if there is a certain stereotypical look for a poor farmer in China, besides the camera doesn't really show the recruits face just a slight bit but not in focus yet you were able to guess this description just by looking at him from the rear... What can I say?

Also the recruit does have an idea what is going on. You think the DI would allow the recruit to even hold a live grenade without informing and practice rounds? Get real.

.
If you want to argue for the sake of arguing then fine. The recruit looks like a farmer because of his behaviour and I stand by my statement. Maybe a chinese member can inform us about what social class the recruit might have came from.

.
I knew you were going to say that because of his mannerisms you assume he is a "poor" farmer not simply a "farmer", trust me there are many urbanites who wouldn't have known what exactly to do in that scenario i.e jump/hunker down into the ditch opposite of where the grenade landed. Chinese members can't confirm what this recruits background is simply by looking at this 20 second video clip, unless they happen to know this guy.

I'm not arguing for argument sake but your making superficial assumptions.

.
I agree he doesn't have to be poor, but I was basing my reasoning on urban vs suburban life. If you've ever been to Karachi you would realize that people of the city are more clever. This is not a definite I'm saying, but generally it is true. You may find some clever people in rural Punjab, but most of them would have probably reacted in the same manner as this recruit did in this situation.

Relax, RazPaK was just making a comment.

And nobody knows what his background is, so that's the end of that.

A1kaid I've always followed your posts, and felt that you were a Pakistani nationalist with a cool head that I always respected.

You can't prove he's not a villager, and I can't prove that he is.

I merely gave my opinion.

Anyways whatever makes you happy.

I have heard that the best way to escape a grenade at close ranges is to lie on ground (hit the deck!)

RazPak, it's cool, you made your point and I made mine. But yes I am keeping a friendly score with you. Lol Also don't stop following my post, more great ones to come!

Yes because the grenade explodes mostly upwards, lower to the ground tends to be safer.

To be precise, grenade explodes with sharpnels flying @ 45 degree angle

Quick thinking by the instructor (presumably) saved this man's life, or at least from some very bad injuries. Very commendable.

The instructor really deserves praise for that.

And that guy who almost died, won't forget this moment for the rest of his life.

.
That was awesome, that instructor's reflexes and quick reaction saved the day! Noobs, what can you say!!

Noobs should try to avoid professions in which they carry other people's lives in their hands.

At least until they are no longer noobs.

Imagine he was throwing that grenade in a real bunker during wartime?

Every fresh recruit is a Noob, till the Instructors train their wards to be soldiers. They call them noobs for a reason. I dont think that guy is gonna ever forget the punishment he will get after this.
