Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has said that China views India as a 'natural co-operative partner' and it is looking forward to work with the recently formed Narendra Modi-led government.

"China and India are important neighbours to each other and the top two emerging markets in the world. China-India relations have moved beyond the bilateral scope and taken on global and strategic significance," he added.

"By working together for peaceful, co-operative and common development, China and India will not only bring benefits to their own people, but will also contribute to peace, stability and prosperity of Asia and beyond. China stands ready to work with India to bring China-India strategic co-operative partnership for peace and prosperity to a new level."

According to Li, the two countries have formed a strategic co-operative partnership and found a way to 'properly handle disagreements.'

"China has all along regarded India as a natural co-operative partner whose development brings opportunities to China, and has viewed China-India relations as one of its diplomatic priorities," said Li.

"Both China and India are now facing the historical mission of deepening reform, growing the economy and improving people's livelihood. We also share the goal of seeking domestic development and a peaceful external environment," he said.

Modi had made four visits to China as the chief minister of Gujarat. Most of China's $900 million investments in India have been in Gujarat.

Hehe, China considers India to be it's 'natural partner'.

The US also considers India to be it's 'natural partner'.

Who says Indian diplomacy was lacklustre?

haha...
@Chinesedragon
bro what u have to say abt this....

this will be like chilli sausage to America......wonder what Obama administration will say over this....

It'd be stupid that China's leaders invest resources into development of Indian infrastructure, before the border issues and India's hostility are resolved. You see the results with Vietcongs...

Your money has no where else to go but India and Africa where it will get much better returns than investing in US treasuries or in bailing out Eurozone. Or you could prefer building more Ghost towns in China itself.

It's better to invest money on something with safe returns and appreciation than somewhere full of poor people and hostility.

Natural partners ? That must be one of the most obscure terms I have heard in diplomatic domains !

Guaranteed with Modi in power India will fight China in the himalayas before end of this year. No peace will happen between India and Pakistan either. Territory simply cannot be resolved except through war.

Your future is with us. Together we can restructure the power equation of the globe back into Asia. You tried pouring your money into a certain other country and it has served you no purpose.

What is the point of raking up past skeletons?

Today's world crisis has given us an opportunity to reflect at our tensions and see who really can gain from this development.

You have the opportunity right in front of you.

Cool down your hyperbole. Your leaders are on pretty good terms with our new PM.

We should welcome Chinese investment but also keep in mind that they will remain hostile to India by claiming parts of our Northeast

Bigger interest for what? Examine yourself. Market yourself not as our enemy but as an investment destination. See how your people get jobs and become a part of the leading elite through merit. Don't demand it; command it. You can do it. You have potential but you are wasting your time with needless aggression.

The baggage of past has to be put down.

It is all into consideration. Any bilateral relation is on mutual interest.

A lot of people had tweeted similar gibberish about modi and they all ate a humble pie in the elections. You are just another guy
