Chinese Oil Embargo Paralyzes N.Korean Army

South Korea - remove and disband all US troops
China - help North and South Korea unification

Good deal. The only reason China keeps NK as buffer zone is to counter US's military presence in South Korea. If South Korea give US pressure to leave, there is no need for China to protect North Korea.

So South Korea gives up its security, in exchange for adopting an impoverished, malnourished, and abused population of the North? Seems rather one-sided from over here, but I would appreciate any input from another perspective.

This illustration of the difference between the two at night although not a new revelation, is still very striking and telling of what the North Korean people have had to endure at the hands of brutal oppression.

So there is a prerequisite, that is China, to get SK's support, officially announced sanctions on NK and promote denuclearization on Korean peninsula. China already expressed this idea yesterday in public meeting with Seoul. This is a long process, of course we can't achieve our goal by only one step, we need more mutual understanding between CN-SK.

About the post-unification, I think CN and SK can together help NK refugee and it's dying economy, we can relieve some burden for SK if possible.

I don't have proof but it's my opinion... I think prolonged famine will result in army rebelling against the 'leader'
I'm not black. Africans deserve more because they have poor conditions and die as a result, whereas koreans die because of their regime. Look at how advance south is, than look at north.

Who would you give breed to, the person who lives in desert or the person who lives under dictatorship and is somewhat ok with it?

Well it's good you've conceded that the 'regime change theory' is merely your opinion, and an unsupportable one at that given the experience in reality. BTW, are you suggesting that African poverty is not attributable to bad leadership like in N. Korea? Or that N. Koreans are morally culpable and deserve to suffer for not rebelling? Again, I find both these assertions problematic.

Chinese engineers are currently working on a $6.3 billion high-speed rail linking China with North Korea.

The rail is one of three China plans to build to "bring North Korea closer into China's economic orbit."

According to The Wall Street Journal, this construction could stifle any progress U.S. President Barack Obama might have made regarding North Korea when he meets with China's new leader, Xi Jinping, later this week.

There is currently a difference between what China says regarding North Korea and what China does. Their "rhetoric conveys exasperation with the neighbor it continues to prop up" but their actions suggest an "ambitious plan" to "expand trade, investment, and infrastructure around its North Korean border as part of a strategy to prop up a buffer against U.S. forces in Asia."

The high-speed rail currently under construction is expected to be completed in 2016.

For those who thought China would abandon NK by Xi's visit to Seoul. :D
