no wonder, we were Chinese for 1,000 years, although independence for another 1,000 years under your influence, but Vietnamese kitchen adopted a lot from other asian nations including Siam, Khmer, India, etc...I saw a shadow of chinese culture from your pics
Banh chung/Banh tet (steam cake)----similar to some areas of south china,maybe it has something to do with zongzi粽子
Canh Măng (Dried bamboo shoot soup)----looks like Guangdong soup
Mut (Sweets) ,Pickles we have ,too
Bò kho (beef with cinnamon)----this one surprised me....very North China style.
I think China has this dragon dance too.
