Interesting that it appears both the J-11 and the J-10 will fly from Chinese carriers in the future.

CHINA :china::china:

Gr8..

Any difference between naval version of j-10 and and j-10A/B

it's very likely navy will order both, but these two are not carrier-based jets,J-15 is

In the picture above one is J-10B and the other is prototype of J-11BS (no. 535). Chinese naval air is getting the first regiment of J-10A.

its a j10b confirmed frm extended tail other than that the pic is not too clear

Guys when China is lunching their Aircraft carrier, wht wil be the Displacement of this carrier, and how many jets it wil carry on Deck..

Conventional one will be 60,000 and the nuclear powered one coming out later on will be 90,000. No clue about numbers though

...its probably a chinese made J-11...

There is a twine seat J-11? The J-11 and SU-30 are totally different--different canopy and different fuselage. What's in the picture looks like an SU-30, unless the J-11 was redesigned.

it's J11BS(twin seat). it has new radar, new avionics and most importantly ws10a(chinese name taihang) engines.

Let's be pragmatic. China is not going to jump from #5 to #2 this decade. (maybe #3 in the next)

Best estimate:

2014/2015

India 40kt : China 50kt

2017/2018

India 50kt : China 60kt : UK 65kt : France 70kt

China won't build many as...

1) ...It has 0 ASW capabilitiy. It'd just be a big bull's eye for the Indonesian, Vietnamese and Indian kilos. The Chinese'll probably make more if they experience a breakthrough in better sonar and torpedoe technology.

2) ...No one sane would build nuclear powered carriers for garden issues, in your case -- Taiwan and the Spartlys. The cost won't be justified, if not for reaching far (Middle East) into other people's pockets with the possibility of not being able to dock at a trusted nearby port for resupply (not making any reference to some country that has 11 of them).

There's nothing hurdling you from building 100kt conventional carriers. It's just that by the time you have the needs for them, you'd already be finding yourself devestating homes and a need to stay outside of those houses so the residence won't be able to take their vengance, which prompts a need for perpetual surveillance.
