Chinese nationalism goes viral

]Chinese media is usually quite reliable when it comes to providing information about official policies[/I].

Maybe a lot of people will assume the same happens in India.

When I first heard the name "Times of India" I assumed it to be like "The Times" in Britain, or some other reliable paper. Only after coming to PDF did I find out that they are not regarded as being reliable.

Sounds like our news sites. You have to look at all the news and think carefully about what's true, what's not, and what's true but not complete. I don't even watch TV anymore, just use internet news only... CCTV is f*king worthless. I have to say, People's Daily's online forum is very good, but the censors are rather strict. I prefer Tiexue and Club China.

But the thing with Chinese is since the absolute majority understand Mandarin, every newspage will look like only cartoons to people like me.

Also I have noticed the censors are the strictest not on political things but on online pornography. Last year there was the 破处门 and the video unfortunately was deleted within the hour (but over 100,000 people had downloaded it already; the censors also can't control p2p file sharing). However, comments attacking the government are rarely deleted unless they're very very bad.

:rofl: Men are the same world over.

Is it false ?

yes, it's a fake news, do you ever read news from other media?

Pentagon Dismisses Reports of 34 Warships for Obama Trip Security | ABC News

Do you think occasional firings dont happen on the borders ?? If so continue living in your cuckoo land.

fake is fake, it was a made up news, no Chinese soldiers fired at INdians, not only Chinese gov, your own government also confirmed the news was fake.

dont know who is living in the kooko land:disagree::disagree:

What's wrong with that?

At least CCTV never bashed any foreign nation, unlike CNN and Faux News.

Dude it's no secret that China doesn't provide a hint of freedom to it's people and media. The media shows what the government wants to show to the world.

All the negative issues in China are mostly kept a secret, but it's only true that there are numerous problems in China, including poverty but the Chinese media doesn't highlight it.

It's a well known fact.

Edit:I have been to China myself and except cities like Beijing, shanghai and a handful of others, rest of China isn't anything great. And i only came to know about the rest of China when i personally made a visit. The Chinese media, controlled by the government presents China as a 'wonderland'.

Neither is the Western Media 100% transparent.

Learn to read buddy.

Chinese media is usually quite reliable when it comes to providing information about official policies.

Tell me, why would they give out false information regarding official policies?

If it's an official policy, it will be very easy to double-check.

I never defended western media, nor did i defend Indian media.

Media all over the world is pure business, except in non democratic countries.

Do you really believe that the so-called "Democratic Medias" have no business with the politics? Then you need to wake up and smell the coffee, dude.

The only business of a democratic media with politics is that some high profile politicians might make a certain news adulterated.Otherwise democratic medias have freedom and i have experienced it many times.:agree:

Well as i said,i am not defending any sort of media.

Media=pure business.
If you disagree with that fact, maybe you need a good sleep.

Sigh. We've debunked the "negative issues are kept secret" bull **** over and over again. There was a 50 something page thread titled "Negative News about China" in the China Defense section.

What do you define as "good"? Shanghai is not just "great", it is one of the most modern cities on earth. I can name at least 5 cities right now other than Beijing and Shanghai that are more beautiful, have larger populations and have more skyscrapers than developed world cities like Berlin and San Francisco. For example: Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Tianjin, Hangzhou.... hell, even my hometown Wuhan is building the 3rd largest building in the world.

Indian media is uniformly jingoistic when it comes to Pakistan. Not one of them ever shows the Pakistani point of view.

Compare that to Pakistani media like DAWN.com which has had an Indian columnist on it's front page for the longest time. DAWN routinely prints the Indian viewpoint on many sensitive issues.

I don't know of a single Indian news media that allocates space to a Pakistani columnist.
