It is disgraceful that no other European country helped Italy. Shame on UK, France, Germany and others.

Even if each European country offered only 10% of all their available resources this would have greatly helped Italy while not making much difference to the donating countries.

Kudos to China for coming forward and helping other countries like Iran, Iran and Italy when they have themselves have suffered so badly.

It is at times like this the planet needs to come together and remember we are all one species,Homo Sapiens, and we all hurt like each other and only by working as one can we stay safe and prosper.

There has been a surge of violence against Asians in Italy based on Italian news reports over the last week to ten days. The reaction in the local press hasn’t been very favorable to China either. Perhaps the Chinese aid and support will change hearts and minds.



Well yes thanks to China and COVID-19 I had to postpone my trip to Norway to visit friends. Play the Chinese anthem? My neighbors are Chinese it might freak them out, they came to the US to escape the CCP after all.

China is probably responsible for Corona and so should help out of guilt if anything else, but Europe and rest of developed world should have provided some help if only temporary as they did not need those medical resources but Italy did.

UK has gone to full war-time production of ventilators and other respiratory equipment and lending Italy 50 or so ventilators would have made ZERO difference to UK situation 1 month ago.
UK industry can pump out 10,000 ventilators a week from one report I have read!

Disgraceful and shameful self-interest at play here by the entire planet.
