brother, you are correct :agree: its a waste of time
Its Interesting why Indians remain in "Eastern denial" and "We hate anything coming out Pakistan mode". Anyways, Gawadar is a new port, which saw an operational a couple of years ago.......The benefits offered by this port are 1) Its Naturally Deep and big ships can directly harbor at the port rather than in open sea so its relatively economical for logistics. 2) For any east Asian or Central Asian Country (like China, Tajikstan,Azarbijan etc) it is much more economical to use the land short cut instead or relatively risky and lengthy trip of whole Indian Ocean. 3) It can serve as a Trade hub between South East Asia Oceania providing an intermediate station. So if a strategic investor shows interest, it is very logical.....I guess you guys update yourself on Gawadar before Posting raw comments

I believe it when i see it

Why are you bothered if the project is a waste, it does not concern you, and quite frankly your snide comments are pathetic.

Gwadar is strategically very important for China, as it allows them to explore and exploit the Central Asian market. So obviously the Chinese would like to invest in Gwadar, however the instabillity of Pakistan has dampened the effects of such an action.

.
no Chinese only started showing interest in late 21st century. The were never serious about Lahore Metro till last year

You know China realizes that GWADAR port is stupid, as it does not benefit China, the roads and infrastructure for rails for transporting it to CHINA are PLAIN stupid, The rough terrains of Baloch and karokoram highway ARE SIMPLY UNINHABITABLE and good luck sending massive shipments of oil or other material....

It might be important to China, But what is Pakistan getting back. It is high time Pakistan acts as a sovereign nation and builds itself up, other than depending on others.

Jealousy is a crime, and you are oozing it in abundant....makes you look low. China believes strategically that Gwadar is highly important, and the indication to this phenomenon is the fact that it has a naval based in Gwadar and it has done investment on the Karokoram Highway. The reason is simple if Gwadar is operational with no constraints it allows the Chinese into the Central Asian market, where countries are known to have large resources.

Well its quite simple Gwadar will be a port that could eclipse the one in Dubai if it is fully functional, plus the amount of jobs created in Gwadar will help the people of Balouchistan. Furthermore the Central Asian countries have abundant resources in which China is interested in. These resources will go through Pakistan, where Pakistan can make a profit from.

The rest of your post is hogwash because attaining investment does not compromise a countries sovereignty. The only reason why you commented on such a factor is because you don't like to see China and Pakistan on friendly terms.

u ve failed to realize that this is the port that made indians and UAE cry their ***** off, when they started construction of this port, indian media was acting like a p***, dubai port was made just to take a little business away from this port and they felt like their business is goin to be taken away, just to let u know, it isnt just the port that is under development, they r building a whole new city their, so leave this to us and do wt ever u do india besides trolling and piss off:D

The negatives are much higher than the positives, It does not seem to be a financially viable/profitable project for anybody.

the Central Asian States are double landlocked. Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan can be approached through China while Tajikistan and Uzbekistan can be approached through Afghanistan. The use of Pakistani ports by these countries would have to make transit arrangements not only with Pakistan but also with China and Afghanistan. Goods through China would have to pass through the Khunjerab pass which is open for three to four months in a year.

Actually WE WOULD LIKE PAKISTAN TO MAN UP, stop gropping on america or china's balls and stop receiving aid and ITS VERY FUNNY how PAkistan will allow a nation to actually SET military PORT in their country, like saying here alll our men in our country are Enuchs and we would rather have the chinese take care of the port busniess than let our own economy prosper

Jobs and prosperity for Baluch people means less terrorist recruitment pool for CIA against Iran and its regional ambitions in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The only negative aspect of such a project is the insurgency, apart from that the profits are very vaible, and I know this because some of my friends are interested in such a project. There is no doubt about this Gwadar is important for Pakistan because essentially a new maga city will be created, and it will create competition bewteen Karachi sea port. Besides there are a number of resources in Balouchistan such as Riko Dik which is not too faraway from Gwadar.
