The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) on Tuesday expelled U.S. destroyer USS John S. McCain after it trespassed into China's territorial waters off Nansha Islands in the South China Sea, said Senior Colonel Tian Junli, a spokesperson for the PLA Southern Theater Command.

China firmly opposes the U.S. destroyer's trespassing, said Tian, warning that the U.S. moves undermine the peace and stability of the region.

Soft method to expel them. We jam them so badly that they need to leave.

Few years ago,USAF B-52 flew over these islands. And they think we can't do anything to them besides shoot them down.

We jam and fried their avionics that they never dare to attempt it again.

The jammer on land are bigger and much powerful that what airplane can carry. There is no way, B-52 can compete with land system.

Sorry but the Russians did better. They jammed the destroyer so badly the destroyer stopped moving and the sailors quit.

Major country games.

In major country games with equal capability, the game itself is boring.

What is interesting is to watch and analyze small and medium states taking part in major power games.

Pretty much nothing. China sent warships to Hawaii and Alaska. We welcome them.
Why you didn't welcome when we patrolled to Guam last time?
You guys took photo without our permission.

I don't know why Americans like to be kicked in the butt but oddly enough they love it and can't get enough of it. They know they can't stay around too long always waiting for the Chinese Navy to expel them. It's like an addiction.

We take photos and videos of allied ships, so not sure why you complaining. You should be happy about it.

In this photo, the camera lens on Chinese ship, guess the cameraman took a wrong focus then.

And so what? Take photos of allied ships or Chinese ships. That don't mean they are not welcomed.

I can't find out reports issued at that time. We remember the reporters wrote something like shocked, scared etc, obviously you are not welcome.

Good. American ships are a well known enironmental hazzard and threat to international shipping lines.

China is also doing a great service and helping the US reduce their carbon footprint and nuclear waste output by reducing the US Navy's operating radius.

You're actually right there.

Basically the US and China will do pretty much nothing against each other right now just like the USSR and US during the cold war.

What will be interesting to watch is how Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Iraq (the former CENTO nations) and the old SEATO members react to coming changes as well as Russia and India.

The wars never took place on the American or Soviet heartland nor involved direct confrontation between their troops aside from minor standoffs like the Cuban missile crisis. Instead they happened in places like Afghanistan.

However, the world has changed A LOT since the cold war so I don't see it going exactly like it did before. It's very likely that China and the US may eventually come to blows but it may not be the South China Sea that kicks things off.
