Pakistan has got covered almost whole India from very long ago but is it enough to deter Indian??Same applies to India too wrt. China,so I don't think China should panic.

I meant that why would DRDO tell the range of Agni-III to be 3500km if it were 5500km
when they are trying to build something[Agni-V] with a range of 5000km?

If drdo states agni 3 range as 5500km...then what will they state for agni 5...which means agni 5 has bigger range than 5500km....stating actual range wolud make alram bells ring in western hemisphere...even now with Stated 5500km we can reach Tokyo, Moscow and half of Europe and africa...but these are friendly countries so they are quiet...

I dont know why i feel that AGNI 3 and Agni 5 are indeed Surya 1 and 2.... because Agni 3 and 5 are different considering AGNI 1 and AGNI 2 structurally....Considering that Agni 3 was introduced in 2006 minus 7 years for development that means 1999-2000 whcih was the time when drdo was discussing of Surya 1 and 2....Interestingly all these days Drdo stated that agni 3 has a range of 3500 but after testing agni 4 that is Agni 2 prime...now they are saying agni 3 has 3000km range just to accommodate AGNI 4 with 3500 Km....If we go on digging info we will surely be surprised...

And recently i was reading an article by Brig (Retd) Gurmeet Knawal on modernization of artillery in indian army where he states that there indeed a project called surya-1 and he talks about increasing Brahmos range from Block 1 to block 2 to block 3and the current range is 550km...he also states that drdo has increased the range of Grad mbrl to 40 km...really interesting finding such sources.... i dint get the original link where he mentions about Surya but i have a link where speaks about increased range of Brahmos and Grad MBRL...!!!

India has decided to focus on building defense in this period. In the recently adopted 11th Five-Year Plan, it decided to spend 8.2 billion U.S. dollars purchasing equipment from foreign countries to improve its fighting capabilities.

The Sweden Stockholm International Peace Research Institute said in a recent report that India has become the world's largest arms importer, a veritable arsenal made up of imports from many different countries.

A retired Indian Air Force general said India's rising international status required it to develop a long-range attack capability that some big countries own.

In-service officers insist that India's weapons will not pose threat to any country in the region as it exercises a policy of never attacking first.

Indian officials and scientists claimed that their Agni-V missile is the "killer" for a certain country, which obviously shows the intention of seeking regional balance of power.

India has strategic ambitions and hopes to play an important role in world affairs, so it cannot tolerate these internal and external security environment constraints. It is the Indian goal to continue to strengthen the military and possess a military clout that matches its status as a major power.

However, how many missiles is enough is a question for all governments in the missile era.

India felt pleased by America’s strategic focus shift toward the Asia-Pacific region and began to get close to America, but thinking this move will contain its imaginary enemy would be naive.

In the context of the eastward shift of global economic power and the changing Asian geopolitical pattern, India should cooperate with the neighboring countries instead of being hostile to them and should reduce its own “persecution mania" to play a role on the world stage in the future.

There is no real winner in wars and peace opportunities must not be wasted. This is the wise judgment.t

If we have a hostile power building nuclear weapons and threatening us, China will have no choice but to do a preemptive strike on these nuclear facilities.

If uncle sam was the enemy DRDO would have told the whole world about its real range....But only China and pak are our current enemy so they are stating only ranges of 5500km...which is enough for them....drdo fears even to state 6000km range bcoz it fears that other countries may feel that it is more than required.....do you remember in one of tech focus it published about the A6 missile...but it later took out that in the tech focus...if you want you can check....!!!

And i am not depending only on that pic itself but also on experts comment with respect to rocket simulation....!!! With concerned to above pic why do someone predict ranges so accurately...Compare the range of AGNI4 missile in pic which was stated long back in the pic and the design of warhead in the missile....this pic was online even before the pirst pic of agni 2 prime arrived last december.....!!!
