Chinese jet trainer Falcon L-15 debuts at MAKS 2009 air show

11:19 GMT, August 21, 2009 The advanced jet trainer Falcon L-15 independently developed by China’s Jiangxi Hongdu Aviation Industry Group appeared in the Russian International Air Show on August 18. This air show attracted 711 astronautic and aeronautic enterprises from 34 countries to participate in. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin inaugurated the air show.

It is introduced that the advanced jet trainer Falcon L-15 has a fine pneumatic platform with a three-axle and four-redundancy fly-by-wire flight control system. It can reappear the flight performance of combat aircraft at a low cost, has the flight performance and maneuver similar to the new generation of fighters and can meet the training demand of the pilots.

It is also learned that the trainer Falcon L15 will attend the International Air Show in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and make flying display in the coming November to display once again the fine performance to the overseas clients and actively expand the international market.

Very nice jet and of course kudos to the Jiangxi Hongdu Aviation Industry Group who has made this aircraft independently , The Russian trainer Yak-130 seems to be copy of the L-15 falcon jet , damn those Russians, always copying someone elses aircraft and passes them to the international market as their own.

Well i think there should be no allegations of "copy" for this aircraft, becoz the Manufacturer & on many other informational sites of this aircraft, the participation of Yakovlev OKB of Russia in the design process has been acknowledged, so why then allegations of copying ??

Plus Yak-130 was designed in early 90s, having no successful export orders untill recently, just now they have been ordered mostly by russia itself. So this is a smart move as China may market this aircraft better then russians, but its competitor is also a tough one, FTC-2000. Anyhow let future come.

I was only reacting to the original report that mentions that it is an entirely independent aircraft and in that report there is no mention of any technical collaboration with the Russians.

@ aimamarul please study in the google something called delta wing fighters all the aircraft which carry the delta design looks similar owing to the inherent delta wing , it does not mean that LCA is a copy of mirage -2000 ( we respect IPR of other countries), and the foriegn participation in LCA is well documented.

Regarding arihant no one has seen that sub so comparing an unknown sun with the existing submarine is purely speculation.
