Thanks Kev, good info!

Do you have any Info on cruise missile engines just to see if there are any connection with the Babur cruise missile. The Indians claim its a chinnese cruise missle I just want to know if there are any engines developed for cruise missiles.

No direct proofs and I don't wanna get you misguided by Chinese hearsays.

The recent testfire of Hatf VII (Babur) has been reported by Chinese media without any comment. one website says it looks similar to China's Hongniao cruise missile series but I choose not to believe it,coz Hongniao is precision-guided by Beidou navigating system.

We would never say how much strong we are but China is indeed one of the missile giants in the world.and the acknowledged missile aid to Pakistan was the M series early in 1990s.

missile tech is widely developed in the world, so does Pakistan. the Babur is a breakthrough in PAK military technology but also a phasic success on the long run, it worth every congrats anyway.

Which Chinees Engine is better or equal to P&W 100-200 used in F-16 can any tells it

Congretulations! it's milestone in china own engery development so the later

FC-1 and J10 and others palne can use our own heart we never fear the

Russion to stoping suppling engery to pakistan and we also do it quit easy it

develop next generation fighter1

If you take a look at the picture in this link

And then compare it to the pictures in the gallery (of the Haft vII) you will see there are differences between the two

Malay is right, since I know nothing about Babur.

the "Tomahawk-like long-range cruise missiles" in the SD report are namely Hongniao(redbird) series. brief as below:

R&D: X plan started in 1982.
First low-skimming testfire in 1988.
Deployment in 1992.
Engine: YWH turbofan

HN1A:land attack
HN1B:air attack Range:650km. Guidance:INS+GPS+electronic map amendment(1994)+ TERCOM+TV terminal or LLL-TV(1994-night)
HN2A:land attack Range:1800km
HN2B:Air attack
HN2C:submarine attack Range:1400km. deployed in 1995
HN3(A/B/C): Range:3000km Ejection:vertical launching systems.Speed:Mach0.9. deployed in 1998.
HN5(A/B/C):
HN6(A/B/C/D)
HN2000:Range:4000km supersonic

O` yes I know about this speculation. I am just very impressed by the way Pakistani engineers mastered and now are manufacturing of miniture jet engines and I thought logicaly the chinnese a must have similar jet engine in their arsenal but it seems they dont. It is impressive feat from pakistan to develop miniture systems.

You see the Pakistanis have increaced the range of the Babur, its all about the cruise fase which they have mastered.

You have been asking the same question in several forums. I suggest you use google and do some research. Why are you asking anyway? A engine is relative to the aircraft it is in. So looking for equivalence is pointless.
