‘Chinese companies need to explain how CPEC will benefit Pakistan’

QUETTA: Chinese investors need to spell out how exactly Pakistan will benefit from the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), said political and military leaders at a seminar on Monday.

China is the Lender and Pakistan is the customer

Is China forcing the loans on to Pakistan ?

If one approaches a bank for a loan it is the customer who needs to demonstrate how the loan would be used and the repaying capacity. Banks do not have to demonstrate to the customer how their loan would benefit the customer.

CPEC should be stopped. Now that the west can not solve the investment problem in Pakistan, how China could? Deals like SINOCHEM taking over Syngenta are more urgent, and we should take care of every penny of our currency reserves.

If the CPEC is established,

1-transport oil, gas from Gwadar to China or export Chinese product to middle east via CPEC mean transit revenue for Pakistan,
2-CPEC will facilitate Pakistan export to China and vis-versa
3-Iran and middle-east can use CPEC to come to China or other region
4-Tourism transit
5-the most important Pakistan is strategic cross road between several regions: Middle east, Central Asia, India and China, the potential is there, it must look for business opportunity in the region and take advantage of CPEC and exploit it the way to benefit Pakistan

We are well aware of the facts you have mentioned......Western route of CPEC is already very near to its completion. Check the updates about CPEC in below links.......This project is as dear to us as it is for Chinese. We will complete it and build it just like Karakorum Highway....
