anyone that has traveled in Russia (and I have) can attest to the continuing deterioration of their Soviet era Infrastructure. Power generation, transportation, and manufacturing are especially hit hard. They are also starting to lose a lot of their star defense talent to foreign countries.

Now don't get me wrong. Russia can produce a 5th generation aircraft no problems. But 5th generation even for the U.S. is no easy aircraft to build. they are not produced as fast as other aircraft. to produce them in very large numbers. requires even more advanced manufacturing facilities then Russia currently has. Not to mention more trained specialized talent in building them. The reasons for all the delays in getting the prototype finished. is one example of how hard it is.

I never said the U.S. infrastructure doesn't need improvement. improvements need to be made in the power grids and roads but it is in much, much better condition then Russia's. And our manufacturing base is second to none. Have you even been to Russia before? or for that matter have you ever been to the U.S. before? Stop being so defensive about your position and actually do some research. Talk to Pakistani's that have actually been here and seen our infrastructure first hand. talk to "Patriot" he can probably tell you what Soviet era infrastructure is like since he lives in the Ukraine. If your going to defend your position do it out of reason and not anger.

Sir i have one question. Did russia agreed to provide china our pak-fa engines? Please let me know. India spending equal amount of money on our pak-fa project. So india wont be happy if russia giving heart aka engine to china for J-xx hehe and ofcourse once china gets engine then bad news for pak-fa as J-xx might be cheaper then pak-fa. It cant match pak-fa but still cheaper j-xx would be benefit for china as they can sell it easily. Thank you.

In collaboration ,any decision is made with regard to other parties , so i doubt Russia will sales pak-fa to china without India consent .It is different with sukhoi-mki

Sir my question wasn't on selling pak-fa to china. That never gonna happen. Not atleast 50years. Russia would have selled china its most top jet fighter but russia never did that. Let alone our pak-fa. Sir my question was will russia sell our pak-fa's engine to china for j-xx? Without powerful engine j-xx wont be anywhere near 5th generation jet fighter. So will russia sell engine to china and destroy our own profit? Thank you.

Sir please do update me on it. Please do check out of 52 indigenous developed weapons how many were made to protect china's population. In short i meant was defence weapons that can protect chinese population. There is difference between offensive and deffensive weapons. Thank you.

WS-15 is for china's 5th generation heavy air-superiority fighter, its aiming at delivering a thrust of 160-180kN, far more powerful than WS-10 (thrust<132kN)

it is said to take ground and altitude test in 2009-2010

the lead designer is &#27743;&#21644;&#28006; and is expect to be ready in 2015-2018

there is also an effort to improve ws-10 to eventually the WS-10G which is aimming for ~150 kN and will be the back bone of future j-10s and the like (j-13 included(2013ish)) (also j-13 is a naval strike fighter in development if you didn't know)

also there is a 4th gen jet engine in development but no one seems to know if this is the future ws-10 or ws-15 or a entirely new engine for a different role

also as a side note there are conflicting info on the ws-15 some reporting it as a improved ws-9 others reports a a new engine altogether but whatever the name the jxx will have TVC as will the future ws-10's
