At least The Chinese Young People have the option of State-Run Employment and training programs as well as state Construction of Apartments and Housing. Here in America the government wouldn't even consider that option because it would endanger their obsession with the neoliberal welfare state. In many Areas particularly in Democratic party leaning areas, they don't even build housing because politicians cater to elderly Homeowners who often own multiple homes and prefer to keep prices obscenely high in order to maximize their profits.
