According to U.S Strategypage reports on 20th.Jul.2011, Chinese WS-10A's life expectancy is 1,500 hours which is 1.5 times of AL-31F...however they are facing major problems in the mass production stage. and WS-10A's production cannot keep up with J-10's demand, that why China ordered 123 units of AL-31F from russia early this year

.
well, considering we have bought more than 100 russian engines.i would treat this ws-13 as a joke....

rd93 is export .however ws13 will be used in UAV ,PLAAF FC1 and JL9...

you know We must depend mainly on our own efforts in accomplishing the stability and mature of our own turbofan engine.bcz if we dont first use our own jet turbofan ,no country will do it.so we have no other choice.
no doubt
ws13 would certainly become more and more mature.

Could you give me some more details about that? I have heard that before but still don't know why!?

Their factories cannot produce enough engines to fill the demand. That's why they had to buy turbofan engines from Russia for the J-10s if I am not mistaken.

Then why not build more factories and employ more engineers and workers proficient enough to make those engines?:what:

I'd suppose the current Chinese factories are in full swing. It would be financially more feasible to buy them from Russia compared to spending money on building new factories. And of-course, the Chinese would want to field their J-10s quickly.
