US and Trump is trying so hard to do the blame shifting, trying to blame China for their abysmal response to contain the virus, how come an unprepared China didn't suffer much from the virus while well prepared US which had a good 3 months to see and learn the situation in China had hundreds of thousands died?
Two logically explanations, first, US is so incompetent or it doesn't care at all. Second, the virus had been in US for a long time, long before Wuhan outbreak, US eventually can not hide it anymore, so all massive infections suddenly popped out everwhere in the country.

On Feb. 7, Li Wenliang, the doctor who blew the whistle on COVID-19, died of the disease he’d warned the world about. While working at Wuhan Central Hospital in China’s Hubei Province, he saw a new version of the severe acute respiratory syndrome known as SARS, which also originated in China in 2002.

As news of the 34-year-old doctor’s untimely death spread and grief went viral on social media such as Weibo and WeChat — Beijing set out to bury the truth.

“They ordered news websites not to issue push notifications alerting readers to [Li’s] death. They told social platforms to gradually remove his name from trending topics pages. And they activated legions of fake online commenters to flood social sites with distracting chatter,” the Times-ProPublica team reports. In all, the Hangzhou offices of Beijing’s Internet regulator, the Cyberspace Administration of China, issued more than 3,200 directives and 1,800 memos in its COVID-censorship drive — all leaked by the hacker group C.C.P. [Chinese Communist Party] Unmasked.

“At a time when digital media is deepening social divides in Western democracies,” the investigative team warns, “China is manipulating online discourse to enforce the Communist Party’s consensus.”

my question is, the so called superpower US of A (in some extent, the whole western world) with it's whole functioning community and healthcare system didn't noticed the large amount of postive cases until they decided to start mass testing mid march?
when they already have most of the required info about this virus, when we are totally under the dark back in Dec/Jan,when we don't even have anything let alone test kits.

It was common knowledge upon which many other more responsible countries acted and prevented a wild fire the US or India is in.

The issue is not that the virus originated in China. That's acceptable- it's an act of nature you can do little to control. The issue is that they lied about it and hid it from the world for no reason other than 'image' and 'domestic politics'. We had a n outbreak of the deadly Nipah virus three years ago. COVID has less lethality compared to most strains of common cold. Actually, if you think about how many coronavirus there are in the world, every day you are going to have new coronavirus strains by means of mutation. Hell, even if you own body there are lots of new coronavirus strains everyday by means of mutation.
