when you say a STRING OF PEARLS, you must have many “pearls” to form a string. Just like what the US is doing on China:
you can envisage how many ports in the countries or territories are under usa's military control!

Even to live with the writer's fantasy, the only "pearl" under our administration is Gwadar Port - courtesy of the Pakistani government for joint commercial development!
