China’s shrimp season has got off to a bad start particularly in the south, according to industry sources and local media reports, with farmgate prices for vannamei shrimp currently 10-15% higher in the region than last year.

The poor start is down to outbreaks of disease, which have hit farms typically just a few weeks into the grow-out phase.

According to Shuichan, an industry publication, in west Guangdong Province -- a key production area encompassing Zhanjiang, Maoming, Yunfu and Yangjiang -- shrimp farmers had to clear between 30-90% of their ponds in May and transfer new shrimp larvae, because of disease.

After clearing 90% of ponds in Suixi, a local district in Zhanjiang, farmers did “not dare to transfer more shrimp larvae”.

“Last year most shrimp farmers in Suixi made good money, and so this year they were especially eager to farm shrimp. But disease has hit with vengeance. Now most farmers are just watching and waiting. Only a few are transferring more larvae to test the water,” Shuichan reported in May

So tell your fellow Kai Liu stop mocking VN seafood first.

Posting our "dirty" story wont bring serious chaos to VN like CN in 2023, Ah Q man.

. . . .
Sorry man, I tried not to reply, but it is too freaking hilarious when you bring up "high tech seafoods"... :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:
Oh,I knew why "high tech seafoods" is like alien to u guys. It bcs CN only have 7% arable land and before Deng begged for JPs help in 1978, there were 500 Cnese hungry peasants who didnt have enough rice to eat, not mentioning expensive sea food.

Btw : there are abt 2millions laid off Cnese workers now plus future chaos due to trade war in 2023 is Deng's fault, too (_I explained many times already)

. .
For VN, selling high tech seafoods to all nations are good profit enough
I know your frustration. We have 100,000 viet sex slaves here serving our peasants everyday. But don't worry, they will not slaughter them even if they got tired of them.. They will just buy more...
I was scratching my head over this High Tech Seafoods.
He may be hinting High Tech Seafoods is euphemism for female flesh.
They export this product in large quantity to Korea as well.
Funny he is so proud to export high tech seafoods to all nations.
With so much exports creating shortfall of this wonderful resource in Vietnam, he need to troll here to vent his frustration.

"US aircraft carrier in Vietnam for historic visit aimed at Beijing"

Danang, Vietnam (CNN)For the first time since the end of the Vietnam War more than four decades ago, a US Navy aircraft carrier will set anchor in the country Monday.

Publicly, the United States has portrayed the four-day visit by the USS Carl Vinson and its contingent of 5,000 sailors and aviators as an historic opportunity to enhance the budding friendship that has emerged between the two former foes.
But, it's far from a standard port call.
Analysts say the visit by the aircraft carrier to Vietnam is a clear shot at Beijing, designed to counter China's aggressive island building and militarization in the South China Sea.
"Vietnam has been deeply concerned about China's pugilistic and aggressive moves in the South China Sea," said John Kirby, a retired US Navy rear admiral and CNN military and diplomatic analyst.
"They are worried about where China is going, and they have wanted for years now to have a better relationship with the United States."
The 95,000-ton carrier is expected to anchor two nautical miles off the port of Danang, which was a key battleground during the war that ended in 1975.
Cultural exchanges, including culinary and sporting activities, will take place between some of the US military personnel on board and their Vietnamese counterparts. Some US sailors will also visit a center for victims of Agent Orange, the toxic chemical compound used by the US during the conflict to destroy jungle and forest.
