Well things are getting out of hand if they are hiring white actors, giving them fake credentials, and then having them speak at medical seminars. WTF!!

Hmmm, perhaps a symptom of colonial mentality? While we don't have this in Japan, there is a growing trend of hiring mixed breed Japanese in films. I think its the exotic look that captures the viewers' attention ?

Looks like a cool job opportunity. If you get paid a good price, why not?

Why not? I already did a model job with two chinese girls and it was fun. You can´t be that picky while on university.

They were looking for a spanish or italian guy. I don´t even know what they did. Either a music video or commercial.

It was fun. And i got 250 € for only 6 hours work.

grazie mille! It has its positive points and negative ones. You eat what you want. I have to keep special diet. I love pizza but sometimes have entire week only vegetables, chicken and tilapia.

It is true tho, especially in Japanese entertainment industry --- there is a paradigm shift. Its not uncommon to see mixed Japanese in movies, tv shows. Think about it this way, Ms. Universe Japan is half Japanese, half African American.

I don´t know man. I think your opinion is nice but there are strong forces in Japan who will never accept this. I told you about my buddy Akira. He talks totally different than you and says such mix blood children are "things". He said if he would have a child with a foreign women it would be seen as worthless for his family. He said it would be ok if he would have already 2 or 3 childs with a japanese women. Then a mixed child would be seen as an excuseable bonus. His father would never accept something like this.

Oh definitely. You know when Miss Japan Universe was announced, a lot of people were posting online saying that she doesn't look Japanese, some even making rude comments on her appearance. Lots of racists still in Japan, but i think its slowly changing.
