Once we have new energy sources, the petrodollar will be shattered and the American Empire will collapse like cards.

You'd imagine the US would have learned something from the Great Depression. But no. They forgot the lesson that the state needs to monitor the economy and let their ideology of Laissez-faire capitalism triumph. And we have a repeat of 1929 in miniature. If we fast forward another 100 years, I wonder if we'd be having the same conversation.
