coal is best for developing countries. cheap and reliable. Wind and Solar are not. you switch to those when all energy needs are met and there's additional capital to switch to renewables.

That's very correct, but why care if they (elementary developing countries) are stubborn about jumping on the tenth stairs from the first?

In the end, they will likely receive both the technology and money (in the form of credits an loans) from developed or advanced economies.
