China's Huawei limiting business activity in Iran

BEIJING (AP) — China's largest maker of telecommunications equipment says it is voluntarily limiting its business activity in Iran because of the "increasingly complex situation" there.

Huawei Technologies Ltd. says it is no longer seeking new customers and limiting its business with existing customers. It said in a statement on its website that it will continue to provide necessary services relating to communication networks that are under delivery or have already been delivered.

The Wall Street Journal reported in October that Huawei's business grew in Iran following a pullback by Western companies after the government's bloody crackdown on demonstrators in 2009.

Huawei is playing big in the US. Not a surprise.

But other Chinese firms with little US presence will come to Iran for business.

If you had an ounce of knowledge on Iran, you would realize that every Asian and Euro firm has entered, exited and entered the Iranian market again 5000 million times in the past 10 years. Huawei, in this case, does a LOT of business in the US. The Americans can EASILY pin something on them and ban them from the country. Huawei is obviously more concerned about the US market than the Iranian mkt, and it should be. Anyway, who gives a ****.

Iranian companies are starting to get in on the action anyway. more mkt share for them.
This was Huawei's prediction about the Iranian mkt a while ago. All the growth will now be captured by Iranian producers like THIS.

and if you know anything about america... it is land of laws, corporate laws but regardless- this statement is the one that takes the bullsh1it cake. you pull a conspiracy out of your a$$... where the hell do you come up with this stuff.... pin something on them? is this pIn the donkey games? there hundreds of billions of dollars trade we do with china.

You think we want to pin something on a damn telecommunication company? with what? don't sell your phones in Iran? that's the great victory for the US- cell phones? would it not be better they allow them to sell it and PIN the company to give us access into your countries data link?

This company is called General Luxe. They have their own factory in Khuzestan, Iran (most Southern point of Iran).
Edit: just clicked on your link. It even says that they were founded in HK in 2010! So that should have been the first sign
